Machupicchu Restaurant

I stumbled in while getting some dental work across the street. I am visiting from Texas and have been wanting to try Peruvian food in Miami because I’ve heard great things! This place has great lunch specials with about 6 items to choose from. Today’s daily special (Wednesday) was ceviche! One of my favorite Peruvian dishes. It was a huge portion for only $11.99! The fish was fresh and so tasty. I added an empanada for $1…it was the best empanada I’ve ever had in my life. The nice woman taking care of me said it was made as the same taste of their lomo saltado, Which I think is the special on Tuesday. The empanada was crispy on the outside but had this delicious moist beef I have on the inside. The sauce that came with it was amazing as well. I was shocked. I’ve had many empanadas in my life but they just don’t compare to this one. It was pretty big too! I also ordered the yuca a huancaina which was also delicious and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. I loved the cheese sauce that came with it. I had a fresh passion fruit (maracuya) drink that was so delicious and refreshing. My bill for all of this came out to $25. The service was quick and sweet! This is a family owned restaurant. It’s very clean and very cute on the inside. I definitely recommend you come here for lunch, brunch, dinner, or happy hour! Sooooo good! And get that empanada. Tienes que comer aquí! Estaba delicioso todo, a buen precio, y mucha comida!!! Mejor empanada de mi vida que sabe a lomo saltado!
