I went for the 1st time for Happy Hour I loved the way the bartender made my drinks !! The drinks actually had alcohol not like other places that I been to n they barely pour any alcohol for happy hour. He even helped us to choose the sushi rolls according to what we told him we lIked. I highly recommend it. I will definitely go back.
My top pick for sushi. I go directly to the sushi bar and I am always help quickly. The staff is very knowledgable of the menu and have suggestions that fit just what your taste is at the moment and if you are lucky to step in during happy hour you can't beat their prices for the service and quality of their rolls. Strongly suggest you give them a try whether alone, with family or even on a date.
I visited Aoki for my aunt's birthday dinner. At first impression the restaurant looked nice and inviting, but I kept my skepticism, as anyone rightly should in the competitive upscale dining market of Miami. I ordered the steak shrimp hibachi dinner combo and a couple of sakes which came out to about $90. Everything was delicious. Standouts were the steak and veggies. The fried rice could have been a little better. The cooks are friendly, some more engaging than others. Clean bathroom and clean aesthetic all around. Overall, a great experience but no strong feelings either way. Nothing hooked me and it was fine for a birthday dinner to try out. I would consider returning and suggesting to others.
Location, atmosphere and Japanese food options and amenities within location highly recommended, not 100 % pleased with what I order, doesn’t mean that I will not comeback. And it does not mean that it wasn’t good. Japanese food it’s my personal favorite, I’ve enjoyed and participate this cuisine domestic in several US cities and overseas, so my personal standards are really highly (personal opinion). Menu offers several options. Thank you for the time.

I loved this place. Their service and the food were excellent. I really recommend this place.
Amazing food! But might be too smoky if all tables in work. Not for asthmatics!!
A lot kids (some of them way too loud). But meals a great! Not too salty.
Not so good:
Not a lot of chicken options, mainly a red meat restaurant.
Pricey.
Using coupons is complicated.
Salad bar is very limited.
Silverware was not very clean.
Pros:
They do have a baby changing table in the ladies room.
Kids prices are good.
Desserts are very tasty.
They have a brunch special pricing on Sunday's.
It was my first visit and I thought the place looked reminiscant of my recent trip to Japan. The menu had lots of options and various options for seating. We decided to sit at the sushi counter as it was still early in the day and it was a quiet area. I ordered the sushi plate and shrimp tempura which were both delicious. Our only issue were the small flies around the sushi prep area.
I recommend reservations if possible as it is hibachi it takes a bit longer. We started with the God of fire roll, this was spicy but a flavorful spicey. We all did the special, wagu steak twin lobster tails. This also came with the house salad (not a fan of ginger dressing so it was ok), veggies and fried rice. The steak and lobster were definitely worth the price it was delicious and a good amount of food. I had to take some home. The old fashioned was super smooth and way too easy to drink. The Tokyo Sour was also refreshing and delicious. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert, but don't fear I will most assuredly go back and make it to dessert next time.
Great place to come for dinner after a long day of shopping! Quick service, perfectly cooked dishes.
Javier was an excellent server, has great communication skills and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great. Robert was our cook and the best cook I have ever interacted with at any hibachi restaurant. He was comedic, carried the conversation naturally through the whole dinner and even recommended how to cook and eat our steak which was a great suggestion. Overall definitely would recommend Aoki over any hibachi restaurant out there
To be honest if it wasn’t for the amazing service from Gus, it would have been just like any other teppanyaki place. They were down to earth, funny and courteous. Great service all around!! Food was good too but nothing spectacular.
