Great European-style Sports Bar!!!. Try it once and you'll keep going back when you're in the area. It's a great place to have a drink (or 10) and watch a game. Very European ambiance and good live music unless they are too loud and the building alarm goes off. Lots of TVs.....would be a great place to catch some of the Olympic events this summer!!!

Great hidden gem. Walking around The Grove stumbling upon The Grove Spot right behind Cocowalk, we noticed the big outside porch and all day breakfast sign, in a nutshell food was great (bangers & eggs, and the breakfast sandwich), very much a price quality deal, good coffee and friendly sometimes slow service, but sitting outside who cares about being in a hurry? Went back for drinks and best happy hour prices in the Grove, great locals cafe, the right name!!

Great place.. Happy hour everyday 4-8pm weekdays and 5-8pm on weekends.. most of all amazing food. Also have live jazz wednesday nights. Live in the neighborhood there all the time very local spot!! :)
Great place, good food, reasonable prices. Everything we had at the Grove Spot was excellent. I almost did not order the Pork Tenderloin b/c this cut tends to be dry. I was pleasantly surprised by how tender, moist, and flavorful it was. The "mushroom sauce" exceeded my expectations, since it was an interesting departure from the usual. The sauce, lingonberries, and house potatoes all harmonized perfectly with the pork. Their Red Ale added the finishing touch. The Ahi tuna was sweet, moist, and seared rare just as requested. My only disappointment was that they were out of Bitterballs, another Dutch specialty at this wonderful place, but that will be our next item to try with that great Ale! Also, they offer a Dutch style breakfast item which I have not seen anywhere else and look forward to trying. What a great place to hang on that great porch for breakfast in flip flops and shorts!
Ok.... Prices are pretty reasonable and food was ok. They have some good deals on beer. Only been once on the fly but am willing to give it another try....seems like a cool place to have coffee or even some cocktails. I was there on a Tuesday and it was a low key, nice vibe....but I can see it being a great happy hour place that you can actually have drinks & conversation without having to scream over loud music...which might just be what you want depending on your company ; )
Just had an amazing tasting meatloaf dinner. The service was just fine, friendly and fast, and priced very reasonable. Seeing some of the other reviewers comments I wonder if Matt Glass ate at the same place as me or many of the others. The gravy delicious, and right consistency of the meatloaf and mashed potatoes made it a great food experience. No, were not at Ruth Chris's, we were at a neighborhood pub that serves great food as well as a great dose of atmosphere. I for one, will keep going back there anytime I'm "in the Grove"

It was a cozy spot next to our hotel! Good food: ordered the breakfast sandwich which was really good! The quick bites: wings, were a little burnt but still really good. Bartender made us some mojitos that were also pretty good! Service was friendly and helpful with suggestions.

The best local spot in Coconut Grove. Come for the people and stay for a great happy hour, I think it's every weekday from 5pm until 8pm. The food is good and you've got to try their Irish Sausage. It is the best sausage in all Florida. But most of all this is where you will find both tourists and locals. It's always a good sign when the locals hang out. The owner Olav and staff are great.
This place is AWESOME. I ordered a drink and Breakfast. The drink was on my table in 2 mins and my meal took 5 mins tops. Unbelievable service and the food, amazing. Thanks Eric. Oh BTW Happy Hour is from 12pm till 8pm. Win Win. Wish I found the Grove Spot earlier on in my trip.
This place has improved drastically and it's great to see because it's such an easy place to walk over to and pop in. You can sit outside and smoke a cigar and talk to friends with a few drinks and watch the people go by. They have a great assortment of cocktails and televisions outside to watch sports, etc. Even the service has improved. Great job.
Went there on ‘Trivia’ night’, during July 4th holiday. The atmosphere was fun. The food was AWESOME!!! I had a tasty Chicken Piccata and my husband loved his Burger. Everyone was friendly and made us feel at home. After hanging out for Trivia, my husband ordered wings to go. He couldn’t resist after seeing another customers plate.

has a complete stock of liquor to satisfy a myriad of people- Live superb music (on multiple nights) that’s eclectic! FUN
I am very bored in my hotel room and decided to look for bars nearby Coconut Grove and this particular bar catches my attention and did try it out. The service is excellent very observant, nice hangout where you can stay with great people around. The price in this bar is very moderate and the food is great too. Thumbs up to the number one bar in coconut grove.
Always nice to come to the Grove Spot. The food is really good and moderately priced. The staff is always friendly and I like how you can sit outside in the shade.
They have a lot of special items I like. The Dutch influence on the menu is really appreciated by a Dutch native like myself! The Uitsmijter is great and I love the Hurricane Bites ('Vlammetjes') and the Bitterballen.
I can recommend this place to anyone!
always visited the place, I almost did not like the food, just beer. the last Friday night ordered a dish and the taste is very good and different LOL. maybe they changed the chef. but the food is better than other times, I recommend it 100% great food, excellent presentation of the dishes, good service and the place is nice and relaxing!
