While visiting South beach, we were told we had to try Conch! We Yelped places that were not far away and this place came up. Walking in, the ambience is what to be expected. It was a large space, enough to be able to move around one area is where you can buy raw fish and seafood to cook at home and on the other side is the to go area where you can sit at diner type countertops. If you want to dine in there is a covered open space in the back where you feel like you’re at a backyard picnic with no grass 🤣
Who cares about all of that, because the service by our waiter Yoel and the food there was top 10 and he’s made the best cafe con leche I’ve had a while in Miami and that is definitely saying a lot.

I got the garlic shrimp 🍤 with red beans(so delicious) and white rice 🫘 😋 oh man, that was fire. The garlic shrimp had too much garlic for me. But it was good 👍 . The seating was fast, and the service was fast. I probably waited about 20 minutes for my food . The waitress ,sorry, didn't get her name ,but she had blondish hair with green or blue eyes really nice and helpful. Overall, everything was great .oh, there's parking at the back, and the prices are good .

I brought fresh fish. I brought cod fillet, Red Snapper, and Yellow tail fish. The workers, scaled, gutted, fillet, and split my fish in two. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I have brought my fish here for 3 months and I have never felt disappointed.

I've eaten here many times and never had a bad meal. You get to walk into the fish market area, find the fish you want in the display case, and they'll cook it any style you like. There was Silk Snapper, Mangrove, Yellowtail, Yellow Eye, Red, and a few other Snapper varieties I forgot. Grouper, Kingfish, Tuna and more. Sometimes they have Bluegill, Catfish, Black Mullet, and other fresh water fish. You can order any sides; I prefer rice and red beans and sometimes Tostones (twice fried plantains flattened). The service is the way I like it. Take care of our needs and leave. They don't hover, you don't feel rushed. The servers are polite and friendly, which is a huge plus in my book. Overall... very good.

Good quality, cheap and fresh seafood.

Visited while in town. Must say the prices and quality of fresh fish that you can pick and have cooked the way you want is spectacular! The seafood fried rice was very flavorful. Took away a star due to unfriendly service other than that highly recommend this establishment!

First of all, the food at Heads or Tails is absolutely delicious. The fried fish is cooked to perfection, with a crispy and flavorful coating that perfectly complements the tender and juicy fish inside. Every bite is bursting with flavor, and it's clear that the chefs here truly know how to cook seafood to perfection.
The fish soup is also a standout dish at Heads or Tails. It's made with a rich and savory broth that is full of depth and flavor, and it's packed with chunks of fresh and tender fish that melt in your mouth with every bite. It's the perfect dish for a cold day, and it's guaranteed to warm you up from the inside out.
The atmosphere at Heads or Tails is also wonderful. It's a cozy and inviting space that feels like a true seafood market, with a bustling energy that makes you feel like you're part of the action. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable, and they're always happy to recommend the best dishes on the menu.
Overall, I can't recommend Heads or Tails enough. If you're a seafood lover, this is the place to be. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is top-notch. It's no wonder that this restaurant and market has become a local favorite, and I'm sure it will become a favorite of yours too

2 in for dinner on a Thursday at 4 PM.
Picked from the fresh fish display
to be cooked and served at our table.
Grouper fillet .56lb @19.99/lb to be blackened $11.19
Grouper fillet .55lb @19.99/lb to be blackened $10.99
All tables are on a covered patio outside with ceiling fans running fast and a roaring noise coming from somewhere that made it very noisy and windy.
Went to our table and gave our side orders to the server.
Red beans and white rice with a salad each.
Side prices not on the printed menu.
Our meals were very good.
Server brought our check. A real shocker.
Red Beans $3.99ea Rice $3.99ea
Small salad $3.99ea
Way over priced for what we got.
Electronic Fee #003 $1.61 (whatever that is)
15% tip $7.16
Tax 1.68
Total $56.57
Food was good. Service was OK.
The side prices soured our experience.
