There's a reason why this location is always busy, it had the best tasting food. Especially if you go right when they open. The staff is friendly. My favorite is the ropa vieja & the arroz frito

If you're a fan of authentic, mouth-watering chicharrón, then El Palacio de los Jugos in Tamiami is your go-to destination. This vibrant spot has become my absolute favorite for indulging in some of the best chicharrón I've ever tasted. The standout quality of their chicharrón lies in its perfect balance of crispy texture on the outside while remaining juicy and flavorful on the inside – a true culinary delight. One of the most striking aspects of this place is its popularity. It's always bustling with energy, a clear testament to the quality of food they serve. Despite the crowd, they manage to maintain exceptional standards of freshness in all their offerings. This consistency in serving fresh, delicious food adds to the charm and appeal of El Palacio de los Jugos. The atmosphere at this eatery is lively and welcoming, encapsulating the vibrant culture and spirit of Tamiami. Every visit here feels like a celebration of flavors and community. Their menu offers a wide variety of choices, but for me, the chicharrón is the undisputed star. Whether you're a local or just passing through, stopping at El Palacio de los Jugos for some chicharrón is an experience I highly recommend. Their combination of delicious, fresh food, and the lively ambiance makes this place a treasure in Tamiami.

Craving an authentic Cuban Sandwich & upon a recommendation from Captain Dave, at Down South Airboat Tours, My Son and I stopped at Palacio De Los Jugos. Being my Son is Gluten free, he opted for a large piece of Salmon & Green Beans & I indulged in an amazing Cuban Sandwich with Rice & Beans.......Everything was delicious!

First time and enjoyed it. There is a cafeteria style set-up of various hot prepared food choices. I got the lamb shank with black rice&beans and then upcharged to get chick peas with ham chunks as my 2nd side. There aren't a lot of non starchy side choices other than a veg medley (other choices were a variety of rices, some plantains in a few different ways). I would have liked some veg choices such as maybe a salad, or cabbage, or broccoli, or green beans so that's one of the reasons I didn't give 5 stars. The other reason was it would have been great to have prices right in front of the items but I can understand that they might have different foods they cook daily and that might be more problematic. The servers were helpful but if my Spanish was better I would have felt more comfortable (I'm practicing). We did a meat only serving of the short ribs. The roasted pork seemed to be what others came for though you have many choices. We got the pineapple juice. The location has a walk up bar to order juices and batidos and we saw chilled while coconuts as well as some croquettas for quick takeout. They have a few tables under cover on the side so you can sit and eat. We came from Tampa Bay just for the day so this was an enjoyable stop as we were heading back up Route 41.
