Food here is very tasty and delicious. Service is quick and their staff are kind. The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because the Restrooms are nasty, i have visited the place several times and same scenario. Gas station restrooms are sometimes cleaner. If you have kids it would be a challenge.

I haven't been here since 1998 sad to say but I finally made it back and nothing has changed!!! Everything was great!!! Dory was absolutely fantastic to us and I hope she here's about this because she has some big fans from Tennessee who absolutely love her. Thank you so much... the big bearded guy

Amazing food! Waitress Dory and Hostess Mary were super nice.
Dory went well above and beyond for us... hard to do on a busy holiday weekend for most restaurants but not her!
Had the ribs and chicken fingers. Food and French fries all amazing! The Buttery corn on the cob was ridiculously amazing.

Been going here for decades. I always order the pulled pork sandwich baked beans and their own secret BBQ sauce. After decades they said I need to try the turkey mashed potatoes and stuffing. I thought at Shorty's? And? It was to die for. Spot on! Everything their is simply heavenly!

Great service here. Bench style seating is interesting and fun. Good food and nice selection. I feed they need a challenging hot sauce for some of us, but the house sauces are nice. Well sized portion for price.
Recommend the Brisket.

The service was excellent. the food, the food at This location is by far the best of all their locations. I've been going here ever since I was a little kid, Many years before the great fire, they rebuilt, but it wasn't quite the same ever again, but it's still really good. I highly recommend the brisket sandwich and the spare ribs. Those are my two favorite dishes. The Corn on the cob, which I used to love, is no longer served in real butter; it's something else. I don't know what it is, but the taste isn't the same. And I know that's only a year of corn, but it's a great disappointment to me.

Although Shorty's BBQ - Dadeland-South Dixie is almost an hour away from where I live, it's worth the drive. The Shorty's that's closest to me does not have cornbread. But the one at Dadeland does. The baby back ribs and the brisket are fantastic.

One of the BEST Ribs in Miami, well cooked, meaty and great flavor. Doesn’t need extra sauce to enjoy them although I do cheat with a little more but that’s because of my sweet tooth ….ENJOY!!!

Shorty’s BBQ Restaurant was a good late night stop for dinner for a hungry crew. It’s great for large groups with long tables that can accommodate a lot of people at one time. They always seem to be busy so call ahead with a large group.
In peak times parking can be an issue, the lot is small so consider this when planning a trip there.
The ribs are amazing, pulled pork is soooo delish! Very generous portions, I brought a huge amount home for leftovers. The wings were also really good. They only have beer and wine, not a full bar. They have margaritas but they were too sweet for even me and that’s saying something.. would not recommend those.
Kids are welcome, it’s a loud, family style place that is not fancy but very relaxed, sports games always on the many TVs all around the place. Easy and relaxed place to be.
