Review Versailles Restaurant - Miami

Coco Dombroski
Versailles Cuban Cuisine lights up the night with its neon glow, promising an authentic culinary experience. The bean soup may have been a bit too subdued for my taste, but my friend found it quite enjoyable—a reminder that flavor is in the palate of the beholder. The real star of the show, however, was the seafood mix drenched in a creamy white sauce. Every bite was a journey through a sea of fresh, perfectly cooked seafood, each morsel harmonizing with the luxurious sauce that begged to be savored. The crusty topping added a delightful textural contrast that made the dish not just food, but an experience. It’s a dish I would happily clear off the plate every time.

Great restaurant ! It is very popular. The restaurant environment is great. Service is great too. The best part is the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended! Get there early is the key to avoid long wait line.

We decided to take a bite of history, and Versailles was on our list. This Cuban establishment has been around since 1971 and has been a spot for locals ever since. I feel like this place has turned into a tourist destination since I saw more Asians at this spot than anywhere else in my entire week-long trip in Miami. However, the generous portion and the quality of the food is worth a mention. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated and started with assorted empanadas. The shell had the right amount of crisp, and the filling was generous. I would recommend this as a starter. We then moved on to the Cuban Sandwich and Ropa Vieja. Although the food was good, there was nothing outstanding about it. I didn't get to try the Cuban espresso, but from the look on my dad's face sipping on it, I think it was safe to assume that it provided a good, strong kick. If you're looking for a place to eat good Cuban food for brunch, then this is a nice casual place that will provide the best value for your money.

Thanks to my good friend Manish for picking this place. Food was so great with a lot of options. The place was crowded, both restaurant and the bakery. Bakery is a must try and a lot of options. Little hard time communicating as most of the staff do not speak english(specially bakery). Plenty of parking but there seems to always be a waiting to get a table as the place is always full wall to wall. Coffee is a must try and the prices are really good.

I highly recommend the oxtail stew and Cuban coffee at this establishment. The authentic, flavorful Cuban food, coupled with the kind and friendly staff, makes it an excellent choice for those who appreciate genuine Cuban cuisine. The grilled chicken is particularly outstanding. I plan to order from here more frequently.

When googling authentic Cuban cuisine this came up at the top of the list. Initially it was appealing because it had parking available which is a definite perk in a city. We played it safe going mid afternoon as I’ve heard it can get busy. We were seated within about 5 minutes. The decor I can only describe as ornate diner but it was definitely fun. The food arrived quickly, was a large portion, and was tasty. It wasn’t the best Cuban food I’ve had but I liked the history behind the restaurant which I read online making it a worthwhile stop.

We were able to wait an hour to get in on a weekday evening at the end of the year. Two elementary school girls and two adults had ceviche, mixed salad, ropa vieja, Cuban beef steak, and seafood paella. Plan, cheesecake and Cuban coffee (espresso with sugar) for dessert were also satisfactory. The server immediately addressed our request and was friendly. Everything was a satisfying evening except for waiting too long. I liked it better because it was cheap.

Hidden gem in Miami! Affordable, tasty food and the ambience is really amazing! They also have a cuban coffee for $1.50 and it tasty! Would recommend! The only thing is, they do not accept reservation and the wait time is about 20-30 minutes but definitely worth the wait!

Food was tasty and the prices were amazing. Things I would go back for again and again let’s begin!! The empanadas are super yummy. They are cooked extremely well. We took 8 home with us!!! The Cuban espresso was incredible. The Cuban was good but I have had better! Crazy right this is the OG Cuban spot and the Cubano was just lunch meat no seasoned pull pork or yummy slices of fresh ham just lunch meat! The service was quick and responsive. I got there right before lunch starts at 1130 the menu is limited til 1139 so beware! The pasty shop they run right next door was yummy and inexpensive. It worth the wait and the food is yummy. Iconic spot glad I went.

I loved the shrimp paella. The service was responsive, despite there being a full house. The coffee is good and the atmosphere is fantastic. The outdoor area is open and spacious. This was my first Cuban experience and it was great. If there are any doubts about where to eat, just try versailles and the doubts will settled. Try this place. 100% excellent.

What a disappointment ! I should have known when the bread they put on the table had garlic on it ! Garlic ! I ordered a steak sandwich, now any Cuban knows that it comes with the dry onions on top, well not here ((. No taste at all. My friend ordered the roast pork sandwich, it was sooo dry. The only good thing was the cafe con leche. I am a true Cuban, born in Cuba . So I was brought up with all the delicious flavors of Cuban food. GARLIC TOAST !! Are u kidding me !!!!

Food was delicious and prices were reasonable. Customer service was great—they were attentive, willing to please and serve. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family; and, of course, I will return to try different dishes and their great Mojito.

The service was good, but the quality of the food is not the same as it used to be years ago. The place just have a name. They need step up to the competition.

I wasn’t as impressed as I expected to be. The women’s uniforms looked like housekeeping scrubs and the men were wearing 2 different uniforms which was just odd to me? Why did they need three different uniforms and then their managers wore different ones too. I am confused. Their employees also always looked confused or just uninterested. I just ordered salmon, shrimp, and a drink and it was pretty mediocre for spending $30 on it but I’m fed so I can’t complain worse than that. Overall wouldn’t visit again, it seems like they tried too hard to be a fancier restaurant than what they are and didn’t succeed, but for the one time visit it was ok.

This is our second visit to this restaurant and we are fans now. If you’re in the area and have a hankering for some good Cuban food, this is your place. :)

The food was really good and the service great. There is a wait time because too many people go there. Overall, it was a great experience.
