Review Capri New Style Miami - Miami Beach

Our new go-to place in Miami Beach, North Beach 🏖️😎🍕 I LOVE and adore the Italian cucina and original pizza, and I'm so happy and glad that there's a REAL Italian place around the corner. Amazing service with Ivan, and phenomenal pizza made by Massimilliano! 👌 It's also cosy, but a little modern and a fantastic price-value! Thanks for being here, gracie!

Looks like they took over the Google business listing and the reviews from the previous establishment. How does Google allow this? Happened in April. Friend wrote a review about experience & the owner responded arrogantly. Let it go until he responded to another friends honest 3-star review in a condescending manner. Background - Moved to the area around 2014. Apartment hunting one afternoon we stumbled into Gol Pizzeria (the establishment in place before Capri New Style Miami), attracted by the Italian Food, Wifi, decor, and charismatic owner. It was love at first bite! Eating there at least twice per month. The owner would often be there to greet us in his positively charismatic manner & if we stayed he would come by to make jokes or talk to us about soccer & Italy. Towards the end the level of service at Gol decreased. The owner was hardly there and the staff seemed overworked. The pizza continued to be incredible so we would order take out most nights. Until one night we tried to order on a Tuesday & they were closed. Months go by & a friend that lives walking distance said a new Italian restaurant had opened in the same corner. He said that he had tried to place an order and had a poor experience but was willing to try it again. Another friend from the local yoga class said he went to dine-in with his family & had a great experience. The following week I was teaching a private yoga class in the area & decided to have food ready for the end of class. Ordering before the class we expected it to arrive by the end. Looked them up on Google & they had 200+ reviews with an average score over 4. They must have picked up where Gol left off. Looked at the menu on Google for New Capri Style Miami and the menu looked the same as Gol. We called to place an order but had challenges understanding on the phone. Luckily friend speaks Italian and she placed the order. With our phone number they pulled up my old info (maybe Gol sold it to them) and told us the Total was $85.66. Similar order from Gol would have been $20 less. Figured that maybe they only sold large pizzas or that tip was included. 35 minutes later knock on the door and to our surprise it was the pizza. We had mixed feelings because, A. That Arrived almost too fast B. Still had to finish the yoga class. C. Tip wasn't included. Gave the driver $100 and got back to yoga. 30 minutes later (students could not focus anymore with the smell of pizza) class ended. We open the boxes and the insides of the boxes were lined with foil & full of condensation and the pizza was a bit soggy. The boxes make all sorts of claims such as yeast free, 100% vegan, gluten free... how does a Prosciutto e Funghi have a label on it that says vegan, how is pizza made without yeast? Instead of a vegetarian pizza they sent us a Diavola pizza, the Primavera had LARGE pieces of potato (half the slice large) & no zucchini (Gol made it without potato & with Zucchini), and the Four Formaggi was salty. We didn't touch the Diavola. We figured we would call them & try to fix this (because that is what Gol would have done and we did spend $100 on four pizzas.) We called to ask if they made a mistake sending us the Diavola instead of Vegetariana. They told my friend it was her fault and she made the incorrect order (she ordered in Italian) and because we didn't call right away to complain that we must have been lying. We offered to drive the pizza back to them untouched and exchange it for a vegetarian pizza and they told us no. We asked to speak to managers and we could hear them talking in the background in Italian. Finally I got on the phone and was very stern. They told us they don't make a vegetarian pizza. Eventually someone got on the phone in an agitated manner they said "Fine, what pizza do you want?" and my gut reaction (and what came out) was "None, I don't want to consume anything from your establishment ever again." Maybe dining-in would be a different experience but after this it is hard to imagine how we could bring ourselves to ever spend money at this establishment again.

PLEASE READ ENTIRE REVIEW.Visited this place twice. New owners, new menu. First time I went I had a chicken cesar salad and fried calamari . The calamari was fresh a bit salty for me however texture was good. The chicken in the salad was dry and tasted off. 2nd time I went with a friend to try something new. We had there pizza and caprese salad. The pizza to be honest was not what I expected. I wanted to be blown away. The mozzarella and tomatoes was tasteless. I will say the olive oil on the table is really great. The service was also good. I would recommend visting for yourself. I believe since they are new they are working out a few things. I think they have lots of potential and if they can figure out the food it would be a success. I will try 1 more time. Maybe pasta.

By far the worst pizza around. After trying this one I'll probably go back to dominos, unfortunately. I tried warning them that previous management had better taste, their response was: "oh, ok thank you, bye" If you liked Gol pizzeria (previous) stay away from this one! Also, Hawaiian pizza is just pineapple and ham, not some sour cream inside of the rolled ham with the thinnest slice of pineapple on top 🙈

The Lasagna was good. The Bruscheta not that good. The server was kind but everybody looked like they were in a rush. I have to confess I did not like the place they have. So far away from what you see in their pictures.

Amazing food. I was so impressed had the lobster ravioli. Real Italian food and great prices will be back soon. Service is good too

There are not enough stars to give them....I would give them 100 stars if I could. The food is beyond AMAZING! The staff is nice and very professional! I can not wait to come back! Thank you to everyone who made the whole evening wonderful!

Can't complain to have this place close to my home, the Italian Beer was a good enough, I tried the Calzone w Truffle and Love it.
