If you enjoy exquisite Greek seafood and typical Mediteranian favorites don't waste your time trying others. Not only did I find them clearly superior to a sea full of Greek restaurants in Miami, but they also have an amazing location nestled around the pool of the Bentley Hilton right along the southern shore of Miami Beach. Cannot go wrong.
I gave it a try and i was surprised. I went last friday for dinner with my date! i read the reviews and they did not encourage. I GAVE IT A TRY, the atmosphere was incredible. There was a lot of girls and they were beautiful almost takin away the attention of my date. Our server maurikio approached our table immediately after we sat down. he began explaining the food and these gentleman knew the menu like the palm of his hand, he recommended us the tasting ceviche and the marlin tacos, sounded so good that we had to try, our main course was the sugar cane tuna and the pork belly, the pork belly was something out of another world and i won't even tell you about the sugar cane tuna. after we had some desserts, we tried the chocolate cigar a "james beard" award dish and it was off the chain. drinks were okay my guy tried the old cuba and i tried the cojito, i kept ordering my cojito but the gentleman did not like the mojito, too sweet. overall this place left me impressed with the quality of the food and the knowledge the server maurikio had of the menu. i will definitely come back soon!
Loved it! Especially the wonderful service of Alfredo.
De Rodriguez Cuba On Ocean
+4.5
AAA 4-Diamond Award. De Rodriguez Cuba recently awarded for AAA 4-Diamond award Restaurant in Miami.
Excellent!!. It was a great experience. Fell in love with the place. Delicious food especially the Smoked Marlin Tacos, the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend it!
Phenomenal tapas and incredible mojitos! Didn't try their main menu but happy hour rules!
Tapas and a mean mojito. Surprise for a hotel restaurant.
Hidden Gem at the Beach. De Rodriquez Cuba on Ocean is an awesome place to relax and enjoy some great food and drinks. The “Happy hour” is an awesome feature (Menu and cost). The Tapas style entrées complimented our communal type setting, as we were there with friends and wanted to try everything. The standard menu offered diversity and flavor for all palates. If you fancy something outside the normal for drinks, ask Xavier at the bar to “hook it up”. He is an awesome “Mixologist”. (We know because we spent a great long night at the bar, learning and drinking quite a few of his creations) When you walk into the restaurant, ask to meet Jose Mera, he will be delighted to make sure your experience in the restaurant is “Top Notch”. He is aware, and has great connections with the South Beach scene. In a nutshell, Hilton scored with that restaurant. Everyone we interacted with, were very accommodating and friendly. We am from the DC Metro area and anonymity during customer service is kind of the norm, so it is really nice to patronize places that show appreciation for your business. The pool service and the additional amenities provided to the beach are also amazing. You will definitely feel like you are on a vacation. I could write a bit more, but you will have to experience it for yourselves. Just remember one thing, appreciation and interaction is a two-way street.
Enjoy
Great food, But not a traditional cuban restaurant for those wondering. Service was pretty good, and i really enjoyed my visit. Even had a manager come to our table and offered us a complementary glass of wine just out of the blue. No matter what i think it was still overpriced, but then ocean drive is pretty much like that.
We ate outside and the ambience was perfect. The music wasn't too loud, and the lighting was not too dark. The service was way above average for Miami, and the food came out quick. Try the Churrasco Filet and Key Lime Pie for dessert, which is made in house.
