The wonderful caring and competent staff provided a wonderful birthday dinner to celebrate Mom’s 96th Birthday. Our gratitude for the elegance, the service, and really excellent food. Each meal was prepared to perfection. Lamb, Halibut, scallops, and filet mignon.

We had a private Riom for my entire family, food was excellent, but needs to expand on deserts. Exceptional service, very happy 😃 for a last minute pick. I would recommend.
Been here a couple of times. Short ribs are amazing!! Had the crab cake sandwich yesterday .... so good. Little expensive but worth it!!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with my family for my brothers birthday! The wait staff was so great and also accommodating for my 6th month old son! The food was delicious and the wine superb. We will be back!!
I needed an awesome place to have a bridal shower, guests coming from around the country, where else but to have it at The Metuchen Inn. It was an experience everyone should have. The Beauty, the fabulous food, the service. I can go on and on. I recommend it highly. Thank you

Wonderful service and great food! Probably the best in the area. After being an expat in Europe for the last 10 years, this is comparable to some of the best restaurants in Paris and London

I just had my daughter's baby shower there! The good food was very good, the staff were friendly and helpful! The owner greeted myself and guest of honor, he made sure everythibg was going well, I would definitely have another occasion there again!

Everything about this place was exceptional! I wanted a nice dinner for my mother's birthday and we were all blown away with how great the service was and the food was phenomenal!
Another restaurant that was on our foodie radar for awhile. Old time looking Inn that adds ambience to the dining experience. Was also pleasantly surprised by the dinner as well. I had clams in a white wine broth for an appetizer. A Dinner special was Venison medallions in a sherry wine glaze. I have to say both were extremely good 👍.
We celebrated our anniversary here last night. We all thought the food was amazing!! Perfectly sized portions of chicken, short ribs and scallops. The lobster and potato bisque soup was excellent!!! I had the best pear martini ever!!! The service was attentive and perfect. We couldn't have had a more wonderful meal!!

Delicious! I had the halibut. It was cooked perfectly. For apps we shared calamari (just ok), salad, shrimp (huge) cocktail. The drinks were also very good! For dessert, we shared the bread pudding and banana Caribbean both came with vanilla gelato.
Had amazing time here. The person who took our order was very nice and took care of us. I really liked ambience and the food. Was worth the money.

I got the braised pork osso buco and when I tell you it was delicious, I absolutely loved it. Tender, seasoned perfectly, braised to perfection.
I also got the caribbean banana for dessert and it was the best decision. The flavor combination was delicate and complimented each aspect; not one part was overpowering. The phyllo was crispy, the gelato was flavorful. Overall one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while.
Very good food. The haddock was cooked perfectly and the meatball appetizer and shrimp cocktail were both very good. Butternut squash ravioli was very good as well. Fairly nice sized dessert menu had creme Brule which was very good and a chocolate cake that went perfectly with the vanilla ice cream. All in All, it was a great meal.
