Review Martinez Restaurant - Mesquite

My wife and I really enjoyed the food, and the waitress was very attentive to our needs. For our first time, great experience. Food presentation was great as well. Very convenient for us, since our daughter goes to the school right around the corner. We will be back!

Had the ground beef burrito here. It was a decent meal, but a bland. The waitstaff was fairly attentive. The burrito and a soda cost $17. Way too expensive for average food.

Took to long for food to come to table. Food was cold. Rice and beans tasted like out from a can. fsa csd cb sdbc sad sd vhdfsv dsf

I ate at this restaurant long ago and did not find it to be all that I desired. But recently I had to go back due to a club meeting taking place there and found that the food had become much much better. The service was excellent as well and the atmosphere inside of this restaurant is very pleasant and family-centered. I suspect there is a change of management and ownership. Regardless, when it comes to eating the traditional Mexican plates, they do extremely well. I did not have the fajitas. But the tamales, rice, and beans were excellent!

My son loves this restaurant, so two days after his surgery all he wouldn’t eat anything, but finally requested to eat at Martinez. We normally order dinner, but I ordered lunch today. The food was a mess. There was cheese sauce, sour cream, and guacamole all over the container. I called to speak to the manager, and he was the rudest man on this side of Texas. He told me that this is normal for the lunch items. I told him that the cheese sauce is normally in a separate container, and he replied by saying oh no it is not. I told him I buy from here all the time, and I have never received my food this poorly. He never apologized and started screaming at me. I thought this restaurant was all about the customer experience. He never offered to replace or ask how he could have made this better for me or my some. I will not be returning.

I've been dining at Martinez for many, many years. They have great salsa and tortillas are made in-house. Best flour tortillas around! I really like most everything I get there but if you love enchiladas with a sour cream sauce, you may want to pass on those. From what I can tell, they use just straight sour cream - not a sauce.
