Review Mcdonald's - Mesa

I understand it's busy. But they appear to be fully staffed. I waited 22 minutes for a mobile order. I had to go inside and they were barely putting my bag together. It's been a rough day and didn't feel like cooking, but that would have been more convenient at this point.

They're always super friendly. Plus my kid is really picky and he's autistic so we have a very specific order that if not done correctly my son will reject it but they always get it right. They know us now and I don't even have to ask to buy the happy meal toy anymore. I appreciate that more than you know. It's hard to find with fast food now days! Thank you guys!!

So disappointing....I remember when McDonald's was friendly. We don't go there for ourselves but for our kids. The McDonald's experience used to be what you went for and it hasn't been what I would call good overall for a good while but this was seriously one of the worst. They looked right at me when I walked in and despite no one being around they didn't offer to take my order for several minutes. My youngest 2 kiddos and got them happy meals and got myself a spicy chicken deluxe meal. They took my order and I went to find a place to sit. The playground was closed (I assume cause of Covid) there was a large amount of seating blocked off but we found a semi clean booth and sat. Finally our food was ready and no tray to carry it it was just handed to me. Ok no napkins...after standing at the pick up window they finally acknowledged my presence and handed me 4 napkins. If you don't have little boys this may not seem like a big deal. Then they had asked for what kind of sauce for the chicken nugget happy meal and I had said ketchup. Get the food to the table, no ketchup. Back to the window to be ignored for a while before they finally again acknowledged me and gave me three ketchups. There was very few customers inside and the employees seemed more interested in chatting than taking care of the customers or the restaurant. We are and left. I don't think we will be returning to McDonald's in the future as it's just not what is once was.

They had all seating closed off except for a few uncomfortable chairs and tables. The staff seemed disinterested in our presence and annoyed at the minute we took to order.Drink machine down. Charge for ketchup. No napkins available and if you ask for one, they are put out. Grouchy staff. Entitled, and ride staff. Very lazy

There's not much to review about McDonald's food, but if you're craving it go to a different location. There are two nearby, one on Country Club & McKellips, and another on Gilbert & Main. This location is a complete dumpster fire and should be actively avoided. If you're looking to dine inside, you should be aware they've got more than half of the restaurant (including the bathrooms) closed off, and what little is open is completely filthy. The last time I went in there they didn't even have anybody manning the register. That means you need to place an order using the single functioning kiosk screen (there are actually four of them but three are either broken or not turned on), but the software makes you enter a table number and none of the available tables have one. I guess you could ask someone for help but that would require the employees to stop actively ignoring you, so that's a no go as well. If you want to run a drive-thru-only McDonald's location, go for it. Close your dining room and let people know. Don't waste people's time by making it impossible to order inside and then refusing to help them until they leave. Honestly this location is probably a good place for McDonald's to try out their plan to get rid of human employees and just have robots. There'd really be no change since the employees that work here don't acknowledge you anyway.

It was a half day for my nephew, and it was my first time picking him up from school. I thought to make things less awkward I'd treat him to every child's favorite food joint, (lol), McDonald's. Upon entering there was a blockade preventing customers to go to the restroom, or dine/seat in that section. Although, customer service was good, speedy, and more importantly, the food was hot with a nice clean presentation. It was easy to introduce my picky nephew a new dish/food. My 3 complaints are, they, the employees or whomever, placed little to no attention to the restaurants cleanliness, and the smell inside. What I thought to be so ride was when any employee speaks their native language, in front of other customers... knowing the customers did not understand. Okay, so before I get cursed let me say this about myself, I am a dark complected Puerto Rican woman. Some say I look African American, others may say Ethiopian, Dominican or Cuban. My grandmother illegally came to U.S. learned English, (very little), by watching and listening to others, but in the home it was Spanish. I never minded anybody speaking Spanish, because I understood it. On the other hand, getting my Mani or Pedi done, and the Asians would speak their language for the whole time of the visit, or amongst one another, knowing I or nobody understood, it is SO RUDE. I FELT it was rude of the McDonald employee (s) to do. When my nephew was in desperate need to use the restroom, they ignored him, and continued it talking in their native language, Spanish.

This location is almost always problematic! I don't eat certain things and my fiance hates cheese. The last few times I've gone here have resumes in mistakes, cold food, and long wait times. Last night I decided to try again. I ordered, drove up, paid, proceeded to pick up my food and peered inside the bag to see the first special order item okay (a Big Mac, no cheese), the second item fine (double quarter pounder no cheese), fries felt piping hot (What??!?? Almost perfection??!?), and pull out the final sandwich to see, incorrectly, the "special order" sticker says "no mustard, no pickle", much to my disappointment, which should have read no ONION, no pickle. 😩 So I immediately inform the lady in the window of my discovery and she takes the burger and tells me she'll be back. So, I sat... and waited... and several minutes passed when she comes back and asks me to " pull around to the handicap parking and we'll bring it out". I oblige, of course, as I'd like my food so I can go home. And 2 minutes pass, then three, then 5, and no one has appeared anywhere, so I start to prepare to exit my car and find out what happened. I turn off my car, watch intently through the door to see if, by chance, anyone is nearing the exit, pull my keys from the ignition, still watching the door, begin Irving my door and FINALLY, a young woman appears by the door, clearly looking over her shoulder and speaking to someone, holding a bag appearing to contain food, and she pushes the door open slightly, peeks forward towards my car (and I'm still wondering if this is my food, holding my door, playing a little open/close/close, open, close-open door dance) and she speaks over her shoulder again, let's the door close and approaches my ajar but not open driver's side door, looks quizzically at me as I say, "I was just going inside because I was starting to think you weren't coming out!". She hands me the bag, says NOTHING as I stare her way and she turns on her heel and almost sprints back inside! No apology, no verification that I was the right person, not even a head nod. $29.70 for three burgers, three fries and two drinks (two combo meals) and an incorrect order and not a single apology, acknowledgment of wrongdoings or addressing the issue at all. I will NOT go back to this location.

The 1 star is for the spicey deluxe chicken sandwich 4D...its absolutely horrible tastes stale. They use the same secret sauce they use on the big macs except its the spicy version...there is nothing deluxe about this sandwich you get 2 slices of tomatoes, a sprinkle of shredded lettuce and spices secret sauce that isn't great. The chicken isn't crispy its soggy the bread isnt even good...not worth $9.20.
