I give it a 5 stars as the food was so good, plus, they have the menu on the display with the picture of the food, as well. I prefer to know how the food looks before I place an order and this was perfect. I ordered for to go and the wait time was about 10 minutes. I decided on the soups , I took a Stew Beef Noodle/Rice Noodle Soup, number 2 on the menu, as well as Braised Pork Noodle Soup. Yummy! It was enough for two people for two days, as the portions were big.
It is located inside the Mekong Plaza, kinda like in the food court. I haven’t been there in a while and I was pleasantly surprised.

The food was good and we appreciated the selection. Since it was a late lunch for us we kept it simple. The black bean noodles were different from the poster picture (it was actually more like Korean jajangmyeon) but it tasted good. We also liked the spicy tripe and the pot stickers.

EDIT: I have been back multiple times, and this place has never let me down! Their fried spicy chicken is amazing! The general tso's is amazing too. Ive also had their stir fried beef and guess what, amazing!
This place is pretty cool. It is located inside mekong Plaza, without an entrance from outside. Very authentic feel, and they give you decent chopsticks. I had the stir fried beef and it was excellent! Nice and spicy. Not bad for price either, but it would be cool if entrees came with white rice. Food came out fast and hot.

9:30 am I am already at Heng's eating spicy food. The only Chinese restaurant in Mesa that open.9:30 am, 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻, in LA Asians restaurant open at 6am. I am hungry by 7am 😁. I love Szechuan Spicy Boiled Fish, Szechuan Spicy chicken and seasonal Chinese vegetables.

The menu has items on it you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant, and there are unique items that you'll only find at a smaller authentic restaurant like Heng's. I highly recommend sampling the entire menu, I always get something different when stopping by Mekong Supermarket. The curry beef fried rice is one of my favorite dishes.
They dinning area is shared with a couple other small restaurants, so it can become crowded depending on day and time.

Amazing food, very kind service. Found this place one Christmas when there was nowhere to go for food and we didn't have anything planned; best thing that ever happened to me. Every option feels high quality and portions are big. And if you're ever not full rice is only a dollar. I love coming here all the time for take out and dining in.

Great food overall. Service was excellent, and pretty fast. Food was piping hot and tasted great. Only complaint is they should cook their vegetables a little longer. But it was busy when I went so it could have just been that. Dumplings were the star of the show, those were amazing.

Heng’s Kitchen is a marvelous little eatery that serves up some seriously delicious authentic Chinese cuisine. Tucked away in the corner of the food court of Mekong Plaza, it’s easy to walk right past it without knowing it’s there. But the (assuming) husband and wife team do a phenomenal job cranking out tasty dishes at a pace that is shocking considering it’s just the two of them.
I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. Their pork ear and beef tendon are among our favorites, and I think their spicy beef noodle soup is one of the best I’ve ever had 🍜👌🏼

Surprised food tasted like restaurant style in a food court setting. Can tell most of their food are homemade. We had the rice cakes, vegetables wontons, green onion cake and garlic pork. Everything was flavorful and despite being so busy the owner still brought out the food and was very efficient.

Delicious Chinese food hidden in the back of Mekong Plaza. The only problem I found was I didn't order enough food. Thoroughly enjoyed the General Tso's chicken, I initially thought there wasn't enough heat, but found it creeping up on me as I ate.

Been coming here for 3 yesrs very delicious food authentic and mouth catering every time. I am very picky on food. But this place is one on my top there of my list have been telling friends and people about Hengs and they aldo love it and Jeep coming back. Try it will not be disappointed!!!
