Review Pita Island - Mesa

Melissa
We went today after the Gilbert days parade. My son walked in it with his team and he was tired and hungry. So At first we stopped at lolo’s chicken and waffles, on our way back to our car. I was not impressed with the service, nor the menu nor the prices. I said let’s go somewhere else. We paid for our drinks - a Mountain Dew and a lemonade were $13 We walked back to our car and right in front of us was Pita island. I am soooo glad we decided to eat here instead of Lolos. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and healthy, and made to order.I got exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price. Service was pleasant and friendly. We would have paid twice as much for mediocre, unhealthy food at Lolo’s. Pita Island was a total win for us!

Food here was incredible and honestly reasonably priced. Not only are the portion sizes quite large, the quality of the food is also amazing. The fact that you can see straight into the kitchen is a nice-to-have for me because I like to see them cooking the orders. The only minor drawbacks I see are: 1. The restaurant itself is small, looks like it can seat maybe 25-30 people inside. We haven’t had a problem yet but I could see it filling up and hard to find a seat. 2. Their model for serving is a little confusing. They’ll seat you down and serve you drinks but then you go up to the counter to order your meal. Definitely not a deal breaker by any means but it was just interesting.

Old school drive through, had our food in 5 though. The Grecian burger was way better than I was expecting. Not just the gyro but the beef patty was perfect. Fries couldn't have been cooked better, I'm not sold on the seasoning though. Baklawa was a great finish and 6 was a good amount for one person.

This was my first time trying this place. This is a small place with 20-30 seating. We ordered Chicken shawarma plate and Chicken kebab plate as take out. Food was excellent. The chicken and rice was perfectly cooked and flavourful. Service was also excellent and fast. They also have drive thru.

So yummy! The food here is fantastic and the service was great. It’s a small little restaurant but service is quick and the food is seriously to die for. My favorite shawarma I’ve had in the valley!

We have followed this place through all its different locations and names. Food is excellent as well as the customer service. The chicken is the best I've ever had. Toasted pita bread makes the gyros ten times better. We love getting the gyro & chicken platters to feed our family of six. Also, can't go wrong with their cilantro jalapeno hummus.

Absolute YUM! Delicious fresh quality ingredients from a little bitty space maybe 4 tables inside and a couple outside in front. We were surprised how good it was! My mediterranean pita, which is chicken shawarma 😋 wasn't huge but it was filling n excellent 👌 😀 😋 My husband's chicken kabob plate was enormous, had some left over for supper. Reasonable prices. Recommend, check it out!

Good food, huge portions! Great, fast service! This is a little shop you might pass over in this big strip mall. It's the perfect place for a quick bite of great food for lunch or dinner. Small inside space. Simple but very clean. I came for dinner around 5:30, and it was nearly empty but full when I left. Tables are spaced well. I didn't feel crowded. The food comes out really fast. I maybe waited 2 minutes after ordering. And the servers on staff were very attentive. I got the gyro platter. It's absolutely big enough to share. I took half home with me. I was delighted to find that it came with a large, colorful Greek salad. Then came the warm pita, moist rice, and the gyro. Happy tummy!

We love this place and eat here once or twice a month! The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and the price is reasonable!y favorite bit is that they have a drive thru and I rarely if ever have to wait. Will definitely eat here for as long as they remain open! Get the Chicken Fry box, that’s my favorite.

The food was pretty good. Got a chicken shawarma, and it was a generous portion and seasoned very well. I particularly liked the tzaziki. The guy at the counter was also particularly nice and helpful, which for some reason was extra noticeable here. Overall, it was a super pleasant experience with good food
