3 WEEKS LATER, UPDATE: For this particular Starbucks location. My daughter chose Starbucks for a treat (she's 11 & has been occasionally enjoying a small decaf caramel frappuccino with extra whipped cream for years) where she heavily admired a smiling strawberry cake pop. She had a hard time of deciding cake pop or coffee but coffee won out. A Starbucks employee BOUGHT her a cake pop before sneaking out while another employee presented my youngest with the treat. SUPER sweet anon employee paying it forward for no other reason but kindness to my child (who was nearly in tears over such generosity). This has earned Starbucks another star from me. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is a coffee/shake store. The coffee blend choices are small, the flavoring that can be added to the coffee is decent. It's the combination of coffee blend, flavoring addition, creamer type, & whether you want it hot, iced or frozen (blended into a shake) that presents so many options. Employees are friendly & always willing to assemble whatever beverage you can imagine (with ingredients that are available). Note that if you order a sweet coffee drink straight from the menu, it will be SWEET. Overly sweet. I ordered a small black coffee & a small butterscotch-type (sorry, don't remember the name) coffee drink, a large cup, & mixed the 2 together = perfect! Also, they'll give you a free cup of whipped cream if you ask.

This location has been here for quite some time, great and reliable coffee. Staff are always cheerful and quick to help. Service can be slow at times but that really depends on the time you arrive. Location also doesn't have a drive through which is great cause your not competing with drivers for Baristas' time. Sometimes can get a bit busy when school is going on; but great atmosphere to sit and relax when you drop in at an off time. Seating is varied and allows for relaxing of study due to wide range of tables.

After a bad experience at my Local Starbucks in Phoenix, I pretty much just had to accept a refund as I didn't have time for them to remake my order (probably my fault for being in a hurry) at this location Kailla heard my bad experience and just covered my coffee, what excellent customer service. I'll miss my Mesa Starbucks when I'm completely in Phoenix. Thank you Kailla!
