Place is absolutely bonkers, insanely delicious. I’d say this is the best shan’xi cuisine in America. Everything is really tasty and reminds me of ShanXi. Make sure to get their signature biangbiang noodles, soooo good. Their cumin lamb burger and big plate chicken are also great choices. Can’t go wrong with this place, the servers are really nice and they’ll take care of you if you’re new to this kind of food
Got the fried rice and veggie/tofu bowl. The veggies were perfectly cooked and very fresh! Awesome service too. I was indecisive and the server was very helpful. Perfect amount of sauce and I got mine spicy. We sat outside and had a great time.
Really wanted to get some authentic chinese food. The chinese burger was amazing! I got two noodles dishes, the flavor was on point but personally the noodles were too doughy for me. But other then that great atmosphere and waiter was really nice. Cucumber were so crunchy! :)
This place was packed with happy customers. We loved the decor and cheerful staff who laughed together and seemed generally in good spirits.
Something to note about the salt- I felt like I got a whole week's worth of salt in our one meal. If you want to go light on salt, I would ask for options with your server ahead of time.
Another thing is that they only had one size of the egg drop soup - extra large. We took half of it home. Our favorite Chinese restaurant in Gilbert offers a small bowl of egg drop soup while you wait for your meal to come out.
Finally, this might be annoying to you- when we got our meal, we saw that our dishes didn't come with rice, something that is provided at most restaurants. Luckily, the server asked us on the spot if we wanted white rice and brought us some quickly.
Was it worth spending 47 dollars for two people where we both brought home a meal and soup to boot?
Personally, had I known there was so much salt in the dish, I would have passed. This might be an issue for you as well. Tread carefully and enjoy the wonderful flavors of China!
Lovely decorations, delicious authentic food, attentive service. What more do you want? We had the biangbiang noodles- I had the lamb and my fiancee the braised beef. Both were excellent. We were in a time crunch to get to a movie so we didn't get any appetizers, but we'll definitely be back and work our way around the menu.
The service was excellent. The food was great and tasty. I highly recommend this place.
Had lunch here on a short trip to the phoenix area. Ordered the water boiled fish and the tomato and egg noodles. Brought us back in time and place to China. Fish was fresh and tender (also spicy). Noodles hand made and properly chewy. Service was friendly, speedy and kind. Loved the decor - including deciding a poem on the wall. Would definitely come back again.
First off having live music to set a calm and relaxing mood is perfect. Had the hot and sour soup which was more sour than spicy. I enjoy spicy but it was a nice contrast to what I am used to and by sour it wasn't eat a lemon sour but could tell there was a little citrus in there. The General Tso chicken was lightly breaded so it didn't slow me down after eating it but I like spicy and when I visit again I'll make sure to see if they can turn up the heat. The mapo tofu was soft and to my surprise was offered in a beef sauce, highly recommend. The fried rice was balanced so not too much soy or too little. Overall very enjoyable experience.
Visiting from SLC, where it lacks authentic Chinese noodle joint. This place hit the spot with the flavor and texture, and they are not skimpy on the portion
I only wish I have stomach big enough to try everything, the skewers are surprisingly extremely yummy, you don’t find that type of cooking in many places
If I visit Phoenix again will definitely come back here!!
Live traditional Chinese music on the weekend is pretty legit too!!!
We’ve been here a few times. Each time we tried different dishes. The chef is very consistent with their cooking. The service is quick. Our waiter, the guy, he’s the best; so fast and efficient! The restaurant is clean with ambient atmosphere. Our favorites are: A-Choy with Garlic Sauce, Scramble Eggs Tomatoes, Cilantro Lamb, Crispy Chicken appettizer, Twice Cooked Pork.
This was by far the best Chinese restaurant we have been to in the Phoenix metro area!
My husband had sweet and sour chicken. The sauce was delicate and delicious. Not overly sweet or overly sour. The chicken was excellent.
I had the pork noodle bowl. They make the noodles from scratch and they were delicious!
The service I received from our waitress was friendly and caring, but they seemed to be somewhat short staffed so it was a little slow. This would not stop me from going back. We had a wonderful meal.
My absolute favorite. The handmade flat noodle with bok choy bean sprouts tomato and egg and mushroom and potatoes was beyond satisfying, and surpassed expectations in flavor and presentation. House fried rice was amazing too. Love this place, which is so mellow during brunch 😋 Yummm

Amazing! Tried this place based on a few reviews I found online and do not regret a thing. Had the hand pulled garlic dipped noodles along with a sliced spicy beef appetizer. The beef is a cold dish but pretty spicy so be warned. My wife had ordered the Maca chicken soup not knowing what to expect but it was a traditional Chinese soup served with chicken gizzards, feet, and meat. It wasn’t her thing but nonetheless was terrific!
This place has some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in Phoenix. Do yourself a favor and get the egg drop soup. It’s not salty like it is at most other restaurants. The service was also exceptional.
I thought it was funny that my husband was taking some executives from China here, but they were excited to get some biang biang noodles. Luckily I was invited along. It was a big group. Most of us ordered oil seared or biang biang noodles. Some got soup. Cumin lamb is my favorite.
I’ve eaten here before with my family, but it was even better going with a large group and Chinese natives who ordered some fantastic appetizers and dishes to share.
I loved everything. It’s a special regional type of Chinese food you can’t find often. Lots of spicy food but nothing too overpowering for me. I like moderate to mild and I found it just right.
The traditional live music on weekends is very pleasant
Truly spectacular. My hometown of Houston is a “Mecca” for Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine, yet I’ve never experienced several dishes like here. An interesting and wonderful mapo tofu, thin shred pork with vegetables, a lamb soup. And that dry fry eggplant! Mind blowing.
I came here with my Best Friend. It was the first time he and I had come here. The food was delicious! The service was great. The atmosphere was peaceful. We will be returning. We really had a great time.
Delicious food! Rou jia mo (Shaanxi style hamburger, spicy) is a must. These are hard to find in the valley and others I have tried don’t taste as authentic. I love their oiled seared noodle dish with pork. Soup dumplings are yummy too. This place is excellent, service is great, food comes out quickly. It is a nice & clean establishment. Try it out!!
Best green beans ever!! The menu is intimidating, however no matter what you pick you will not be sorry!!! This is a restaurant that your meal will be healthy and tasty. Service is quick and very polite, big portions and very presentable. The only warning is watch the spice, some dishes are a little more spicy that I prefer and i do like spicy😂.
