The staff was excellent, very attentive and responsive. Large portions and decent price. My only grip was the meat needed more spice and flavor. But still enjoyed it
This place is great. Our waitress could not have been better. Asked for some recommendations and she was spot on. We went with the Chile Relleno and Roberts Tacos, both were delicious. The chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful and let's not forget the margaritas, nicely balanced and refreshing.
Best Chile Relleno in town!!! Fresh chips and amazing salsa, don't forget to try their house margarita or any of their HUGE selection of Tequilas!!!

This was our second trip to Mesa and we had to visit Matta's again!! We enjoyed the food and service. It is such a perfect representation of places in Mexico and it makes us so happy to visit. Awesome cheese crisps! This place has better cheese crisps than anywhere in the country! Also, very good chips & salsa, beans and ground beef enchilada’s with red sauce. My sisters love the ground beef soft tacos. Hope they never close down!! Been eating here since literally before I can remember.

Really nice atmosphere. Service was excellent. Great green Chile meat but not hot enough Chile wise. Ample portions. Give it a try if you like Chile on the mild side. Salsa is outstanding.
My family and I love Matta's and would frequent the old location on Main Street. I am so glad I can still enjoy the salsa and bean burrito with red sauce. If you want comfort food served by kind staff members this is the place to go.
My adult son & I were there about 7 pm on a Monday. The place was busy but not crowded. I ordered the green chili soup with beans and rice and my son got the same in red chili, no rice. We also split an order of bean dip & chips. The entire dinner with chips and salsa was delicious and satisfying. P

Walked in about 5pm on Valentine's day. Wait was 20 min and we had movie tickets so we took a booth in the bar. First time here and immediately our drink order was taken and we got a large dish of hot chips and 2 salsas. Husband loved the chunky, I loved the red.
