Amazing food, very clean super friendly.
Martha greeted us explained the menu and made suggestions. I tried the 3 taco plate with 2 barbacoa tacos and 1 chicken with cilantro and pesto taco with rice and beans. My husband had the barbacoa plate. The food was so good wished we lived closer so it could be a regular stop.
We are taking some home for later.
We had been looking for a good place to try some proper Mexican food and after seeing the reviews for Martha's Kitchen we decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. It's very cozy and friendly place. When we said it was our first time there, they explained the menu which was extremely helpful. The food was delicious, I also tried the horchata which was amazing. I would recommend others to try it.
This place did not disappoint! I like the simple menu, choose 1 of 3 meats then choose it 1 of 4 ways, burrito, bowl, plate, or tacos. They have daily specials to choose from also. Everything I ate had that fresh made from scratch taste. Really good! I spent about $8 bucks on the green chili bowl, then about $2 for homemade agua de jamaica. The only thing I could say is that I wish the meal came with more corn tortillas (it came with 3), and I wish the drink was larger. I will be back for sure.
My husband came here last week and raved about it. He's been waiting on me to try it and I'm not gonna lie, I was hesitant...I totally almost missed out in like, the BEST bought 'home cooked' meal ever! It brought me back to remembering my mom's home cooking! I try the quesadilla plate, oh my! Yummy yummy all in my tummy. Topped it with fresh quac and pico with chips, plus some of her medium salsa. Superrrrr good! All of us were left wanting more, not because it didn't fill us (because boy dud it!) But because it's so darn good. This place is a must! Not a very big menu, but I think it's genius! She specializes in certain items and does it so good that's all she needs on the menu. You either love it or hate it, and from what I can see, people love it! You must try this place, it's totally worth it. Enjoy!
Took a bit to get the food , but we had a party of 3 though. Homemade everything . Love it !
Stopped into Martha's Kitchen for Dinner. I ordered the Vegan Burrito, as her waiter advised. It was AWESOME! The BEST I ever had!! Her waiter was the kindest young man too! Martha came in and we got to met her and visit with her. SHE IS THE SWEETEST, KINDEST, FUNNIEST and most HELPFUL owner you will ever meet!! The world needs more Sweet Martha's!
Thank you Martha for your kindness! We will definitely be back for another GREAT meal and hope to see you again too! Thank you so much for your kindness!!!!
Best of Luck!!!
Food flavor is very unique. No other place I've been to has this kind of flavor, and it has me coming back every week. Give this place a try, you won't regret it. Pesto chicken is really good along with the barbacoa. Pork is good too. Customer Service is A+. These people really care about you getting quality well cooked food.
Awesome little place for authentic Mexican Food. Very simple menu but amazing flavors. I had the green chili carnitas bowl and it was like a thick, hearty soup. And the service is great too. I'm not in the area often, but I'll be stopping in here next time I am. Thanks, Martha!
I love Martha's Kitchen. If you want to get away from the normal Mexican food that's available in Mesa head over to Martha's. It's not an extensive 9 page menu it's just I think four or five on entrees but they are delicious, authentic Mexican food. It really seems to be AZ close to homemade food that you can get in a restaurant. She also makes homemade flan and horchata and strawberries and cream in a cup that is so delicious. It's not a big place I believe only about five or six tables. I don't go there for the ambience I go there because the food is just so darn good. Make sure you check their hours before you head down say in the middle afternoon because they siesta for a few hours after lunch and then serve dinner. I'm sure they do a great takeout business but I'm not sure if they deliver. When you do go by tell her David says hello. I don't know her personally just from the restaurant but she's a super friendly woman. It's hard to nail down a favorite food but I think the carnitas and a bowl with the rice and the beans and cheese on the top. They also have a glass case that has fresh salsas and they are very good too. Go have a great meal.
A very small but tasty owner -operator run Mexican kitchen. I tried the carnitas and it was stellar. Also, there are very few places that make homemade horchata- and this is one of them. The meal was excellent, the service kind and the prices reasonable. Very glad to have them newly in the neighborhood.
