Sounds funny to say but the food was beautiful (I had the original bowl/chicken pictured here) and it was crazy delicious. Margaritas were dreamy! Date night success.

This place is so cute, great food, great drinks, and a friendly, attentive staff! Sol was so sweet and friendly! I was so hungry and the food was so good I forgot to take pictures! Lol Taco Tuesday, with $5 and $10 margaritas, and 2 for $6 tacos, can't beat it! I recommend the Salmon Taco, and the Zapata tequila for a refreshing, smoky drink!
We stopped in here for lunch with no expectations and were pleased with our meal. The chips were hearty and crisp but could have used a little more salt (personal preference). The Borracho Beans were super good. I prefer my fish tacos with a lighter batter so I think I will try the grilled shrimp next time. They were still tasty. The shrimp fajitas were delicious. The decor has a fun bright colorful vibe with some super cool art work. The chairs could stand a recovering-the fabric on almost every chair is stained and taints the feel of the place.
A fine dining experience on a Friday evening in a very lively atmosphere. Large margaritas. Good, attentive service.

A/C was not working so it was a bit warm inside.

This place definitely deserves a higher rating. Is it a 5 star Mexican restaurant? No. Is it a cool little cantina to grab some food and drinks? Definitely. The service was great as soon as we walked in. The waitress brought us waters then took our drink order, we also ordered food at the same time since we were in a hurry. The food came out very fast and was delicious. I'm just visiting but I would stop by here again if I wanted a quick bite to eat or relax and watch the games and chill at the bar.
This is my second time at this location. Food has been delicious twice. We had the grilled shrimp tacos and the fish tacos. It had fresh jalapenos so yummy. Service was good and friendly. Will definitely be back.
The Margarita was superb! Refreshing not syrupy. I ordered the Shrimp Enchiladas and they were very good. Especially the sauce. The bartender/server was very attentive and down to earth. Good guy.
Loved the live music and atmosphere. The margaritas were amazing, I ordered the Rosa Rita. The food was great, and the proportion was just right. Perfect for date night or dinner with friends.
It's a great place absolutely and the only reason i gave the atmosphere 3 stars is because they only have bar tv's there is no real music or jukebox option for patrons to enjoy. Other than the lack of music i absolutely LOVE this place. Great margaritas and the phat burrito is the bomb😋
Absolutely great tasting food! it wasn't very busy which is a shame, they deserve way more business! Chef even came out to talk to us. Will be back for more!
Rudest bartender/server ever. We were one of two tables in the place for dinner. He begrudgingly cleared a table by the window that needed bussed anyway for us. Proclaimed they were out of Patron, Don Julio, and many other ‘top shelf’ tequilas and refused to make a Cadillac margarita because he ‘didn’t know how’. When we ordered, we tried to change one entree immediately and order something different but he claimed it was ‘TOO LATE’ and the order was already in the kitchen?! what??? We asked for chips/salsa and he walked away, saying $7 bucks if you want them…we should have walked out. Food was over-salted. Horrible experience.
My meal waa delicious! It started off right with the BEST margarita I have ever had. I feel bad that I dont remember the name of it. I do however remember that it had Hennessey in it. Jeff was a Margarita Wizard and did not disappoint when he said he could deliver the best margarita. My choice of entree was the Carne Asada burrito it was SO full of flavor and meaty I also chose the baracoda beans and rice as my sides. I did wish my rice and beans were piping hot because eating that burrito was savor each bite and by the time I got to the sides they were room temperature.
My Mom order the chicken enchiladas and I hate to say this but I swear I didn't see any chicken. I still gave 5 stars because my meal was 5 stars. I just wish the place was bigger. I WILL BE BACK!!! Thank you Jeff you ROCK!!!!

In the heart of downtown Mesa is a little restaurant called Margaritas. It has become a favorite place for my granddaughter and I. Good food and great drinks. The service was excellent. The place overall is really nice.
