Review Barro's Pizza - Mesa

My favorite place to go.... Everything on the menu is excellent. Nothing they serve is bad... My favorite is their Greek salad and RANCH Dressing. I have been to several locations and it's the exact same. The BEST FOOD EVER!!!

You can't beat Barrows in 2 ways. Their bread tastes like your Italian nonna just baked it and you could eat all the crust with a tiny dip in the delightful pizza sauce, tangy with just a hint of sweet. It's a touch more New York style but it's a little too short to fold. But it is one of my all time favorites. Oh I almost forgot their yummy BBQ wings. I don't eat regular hot wings but their Bbq wings doused in a winning thick coated sauce makes me feel like I paid a visit to the south for a winner in their little comparison wars

I love this place, and I often visit this location, and truly get great service each time I visit. The pizza I love it's always fresh and delicious, the service that Barro's provides is superb!! The only downside is that in the evening there's a big crowd which interfere with getting my pizza in a timely manner, but other than that everything is great, that includes the atmosphere, service, and the food.

My whole family loves this place. Great food and pretty consistent. What prompted me to leave a review was a recent interaction with the manager Brooks. I placed an online order and literally within 30 seconds of completing the order, my wife called me and said she had picked up food for us. I called to cancel my order (on a Saturday afternoon, when I'm sure it was slammed) the guy I spoke with said, "No problem I'll cancel the order." Well, I never received a refund, so I called in several days later and spoke to Brooks. He was over the top communicative, sent me an email with a receipt of the refund. I resolved the issue within 48hours. I was very impressed and I appreciate the combination of great food and great service. Well done.

The pizza was good. The lunch specials were of value and I enjoyed the size of the salad that came with the meal I chose. Service was quick and polite. Here I got two slices of Barro's specialty pizza, salad and drink but added another slice for $2.50? I think I actually liked the pepperoni pizza I got on a subsequent visit better.

Grabbed some pizzas for a surprise party, unfortunately I got the ravioli and meatballs and the ravioli was overcooked:( Certainly not the worst thing in the world but I was bummed. They're always great so it fair that they took a night off! :) Great food 99% of the time! I recommend trying it for yourself!

I’ve been coming to this location for as long as I can remember and it’s always good. I was bothered tonight when a manager was barking at employees with a condescending tone. It’s not ok to speak to employees in front of customers like that. I felt bad for the girls working at the counter. They probably can’t stand him and dread working shifts with him. I know I would. If you need to coach an employee, do so in private and don’t be so rude about it.

I ordered delivery and it was great!!! Best pizza I’ve had in a while and the club sandwich was really good too. I ordered extra Mayo and they didn’t disappoint. 🥹 my kids loved it too.

They offer a gluten free pizza, which we ordered one and it was tasty! The crust was thinner but still gave you the pizza experience not pizza on a cracker...you know what I mean? Gluten free pizza is only offered in their Medium size. We also got a thick crust buffalo wing pizza, which was good. The crust was perfectly cooked and evenly thick, the buffalo sauce was so good that we asked for a bit more to dip it in! It was the best buffalo chicken pizza I have ever had. Oh! And we did also get some cheesy garlic bread which was exactly what you would expect and want! French bread with garlic butter and a layer of warm melty mozzarella cheese on top that smothers the inside of your mouth with comfort and flavor. Even after sitting down we were asked several times by a few different employees if there is anything else they could do for us or get us. All the employees seemed happy to be there and talked with us like old friends. And getting was very clean.

The best pizza! Great cheese sticks, and the salad is great because of the cheese and yummy ranch dressing they have. I've been a customer for 35 years. Delivery takes about 60 minutes these days but they have dine-in or pick- up which are both much faster.

Great pizza! On the thicker side as far as crust is concerned so if you prefer New York style over Chicago style you may not like this pizza. It’s not so thick as to be considered traditional deep dish Chicago style so don’t get scared off by my saying it’s thicker. In my opinion, it’s thickness is perfect! They have great pizza by the slice deals daily for lunch which is VERY nice since most pizzerias do not offer pizza by the slice. They are big on cheese and I’ve never eaten pizza from here and had to ask them for extra cheese nor have I had any part of my pizza with exposed sauce. Can’t stand it when my pizza isn’t completely covered in cheese! If I wanted to eat something made from dough and just sauce, I’d eat a breadstick and dip it in sauce! Pizza needs cheese and lots of it, end of story! Barro’s Pizza doesn’t disappoint there! This location is very clean and convenient on the Southwest corner of Brown and Gilbert roads in Mesa. Eating area is large and they also have lots of TV’s which more often than not have sports on them, but occasionally there will be a news channel on. They also offer delivery within a certain radius. Oh, and for those of you who enjoy orange soda like I do, they actually have Crush Orange soda as one of their fountain drinks! I’m thrilled about that because Fanta and Sunkist are not that great but Crush is awesome orange soda.

It’s been a few years since I had been back to AZ, so of course, needed to visit Barro’s! Never disappoints. Pizza was good.
