Review La Parrilla Suiza - Mesa

This place is fantastic! It is decorated so well. Had a bar area and a main seating area. Relatively empty on Thursday when I went. Staff was super attentive and the food was great. I had beef enchiladas and got Christmas (red and green) style sauce. Although the best thing there was the salsa verde that came with the chips. That was my favorite. I love sauce though. The beef was cooked well, the chips were bomb and so were the beans and rice. I had a mezcal margarita which was a little smokier but it was good too. Can’t say enough good things about this spot! Also the had old Superman movies playing on VH1 which was a baller move.

Had dinner here for my mom's 74th Birthday. Food was great! Very large portions...so you'll have leftovers for sure. Our waitress was very attentive. Clean environment and inviting.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The service is always top-notch, and the food is consistently good. So good. I have lunch with my team there at least once a week.

Went with family group of 8 for my first time. Service was wonderful and quick. Sarah was really nice and on top of beverage refills. Restaurant was on the slower side that night. I had the mini chimis and they were great. Their green salsa is delicious! I think we all would go again.

It sure has been awhile since I have eaten at this establishment. I learned of this restaurant through my uncle. It was one of his favorite places to eat weekly and probably almost daily. There were 2 other locations and both closed down. The first location that closed was right across from paradise Valley mall about 8 years ago. The other location was at 35th Ave and Peoria ave. I was sadden by it and I didn't realize that there was a 3rd location here in the valley. I happen to be in the area a few weeks ago and decided I would come back and dine. However, if I really wanted to eat here I know there are 3 more locations in Tucson. When I did live in Tucson I was a regular at the speedway restaurant. How I have missed their food. My favorite is the diced beef with bell peppers and onions grilled with bacon. I love their charro beans and seasoned to perfection. I missed their chips and salsas as well. Everything was absolutely delicious πŸ˜‹. However, usually get really hot corn tortillas but it was cold when I received it. I didn't want to complain because I was enjoying every bite. I just placed it on top of my dish to warm it (somewhat). I highly recommend this place. It is a little intimidating because their menu is extensive to read. You can always ask questions for faster suggestions. Happy dining and happy eating πŸ˜‹.

We've been going for years. We drive from North Scottsdale to this location, which says it all. Great salsa trio and chips at your table minutes after seated. The menu is huge, so nobody leaves hungry. Family style shareable appetizers are incredible.

Delicioso! We arrived around 7 pm, so I'm guessing that's why it wasn't very busy, so we were greeted and seated promptly. We were seated right next to the large kitchen window where you can see where all the magic 🎩 happens! πŸ˜‰ It took us a while to review the menu because it is extensive...so many delicious sounding choices. I chose the #14 Bistek con Enchiladas Suizas ~ two cheese enchiladas served with two charbroiled beef tacos and a small side of probably the best Spanish rice I've ever tasted and a generous side of their equally delicious pinto beans. The flavor of the beef in the tacos is exceptional and their green avocado based salsa makes them taste even better. They STUFF their freshly made corn tortillas with the charbroiled beef, so I was nearly STUFFED after eating both of those. The meat tastes like perfectly grilled steak...tender and juicy. The cheesy enchiladas were very different from any other Mexican restaurant I've ever been to, with a mozzarella type cheese, perhaps combined with some cheddar. I'm not sure, but all that really matters is they were delicious with a moderate amount of their spicy, but not too spicy, red sauce. All the flavors went incredibly well together. Yes, I would order that same dish again! My husband chose #35 Enchiladas Suizas ~ three fresh handmade corn tortillas filled with chicken, beef, or cheese covered with red enchilada sauce, melted cheese, and sour cream, served with charro beans and rice. He got the chicken enchiladas which he said were great. My son ordered #15 Pechuga Suiza ~ two flour tortillas stuffed with cheese and grilled thin chicken breast topped with more cheese, served with two beef or chicken tacos sauteed with bacon, bell peppers, and onions, which he thoroughly enjoyed. And finally, his significant other, who recommended this restaurant, chose her go-to dish, the #5 Queso Suizo ~ their unique melted cheese served on a skillet, and browned, with flour tortillas, and added a side of their refried beans. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was great! Our server responded promptly to our requests and was very attentive. Will I go back to this restaurant? Absolutely πŸ’―, and I'm anxious to do so. Delicioso!

I ordered the combo fajitas, which I've been craving for a while. They definitely were not the best I've ever had but not the worst either. The steak was good, but the chicken could've used a bit more flavor.

I eat here once a week. One of my absolute favorite places for a huge burrito. Nachos were gross but everything else is 5 stars for sure. Love the pico

Was going to give this four stars out of spite due to the positioning of the handicap parking stalls. Wasn't able to park in one to the fact that a car would back up into mine since I would effectively block that car in. Stupid parking design. Parking blocks were almost 6 feet away from handicap poles. No need. Trust me, I don't want to hit your poles.. But I digress... I've been here a couple of times before. Was okay. Wasn't impressed. But tonight, wow! Ordered the queso chorizo dip as appetizer. Delicious. I then ordered the molcajete. I've had it at a few other places but this was definitely the best I've ever had. It was incredible. The bowl was lava hot as it should be. Steak, chicken, shrimp, and zucchini cooked perfectly. I'll order it again.

It has an older look but don't let that fool you! The Food was amazing. I tried the chicken flautas and shrimp tacos and both were amazing.

Nicely kept place, scrumptious food, cold drinks with good service and clean tables. Came in for a couple quick drinks and had an appetizer along with. My only qualm is that my beer glass was not chilled and I coulda used a wedge of lime larger than a breath mint. And (gosh I didn't think I had much in the negatory to say but here's another) I recall my frustration at having to be far too frugal in prolonging of the life of my napkin because we only had the one ascertained by unwrapping the flatware. Of 2 rounds of drinks; condensation on the table and the lime, an appetizer serving two and a second round of torts at request and still not provided anything further to wipe our hands or faces off. After having attributed half of this handheld greasy meaty cheesy tortilla filla delicious appetizer I don't know the name of to my tum tum I had more to clean then just my thumb thumb, I should have just asked for one- what a dumb dumb! But really, is that something you should have to ask for? umm.. umm... nope. But they are still 5***** [stars]

Good. Not great. I had the Alambre Tacos. Tacos were 5/5. Beans were a let down. Salsa was also 5/5. Great service.
