No place like it. Been coming here since 1949, when my Mom and brothers carried me from the Phoenix drive-in and we always stopped at Petes after the movie. So good!
I've been to multiple locations and it's always good don't mind the wait because sure wouldn't want to go to a place with no one in line. Travel all the time from here to New York and been to plenty of fish frys and always glad to be back to get some Pete's
We use to ride our bikes here as kids, get Pete’s and then ride over to my grandma’s on Pasadena! And I am 60!!! When we drove by I wasn’t even hungry but had to stop for the memories!
Dropped in for lunch at 11:45 AM and there was already. long line for the take-out, as it was quite hot, I decided to use the drive-through. There were about 15 cars and it took me almost 25 -30 minutes to reach the window.
The staff were very friendly, so that made the overall experience less stressful.
Food was quite good, I guess the oil they use is fresh and clean the fried food was quite light and did not seem greasy.
The scallops are something that I would recommend.
Overall a good seafood restaurant if you like fried seafood.

Delish! Crispy fish and chips. Love their Pete’s sauce. Not a huge fan of their tartar sauce but I thinks that’s just my personal opinion. Coleslaw is more on the sweet and creamy side. Cash only.
It might be the most unhealthy food you can eat but it's sooo worth it!!! Delicious deep fried goodness!!! Try the tenders, burritos, onion rings and monster burgers all with Pete's sauce! Mmm good!
The fried cod was great and the fries as well. The shrimp left something to be desired. They were very small. Mostly coating. And, they didn't taste really fresh.
I live in the white mountains and this is the one place I HAVE to go to when I come down the valley for anything! You do have to be prepared with cash only, they don't take debit or credit and they don't take $50 or $100 bills. There is a Wells Fargo right next to it though if that's your bank or they have an ATM on site (likely for a fee). It is also not open on Sundays.
8/12/2022 Update
They do not serve chicken tender specials or onion rings on Fridays. The chicken nuggets and chips were perfect today! The deep fried burritos always look questionable but are sooooooo good especially dipped in Pete's sauce. Pete's is still my #1 request coming to the valley from the white mountains.
We got part of our order and we're missing two meals last time. When I went back, I had to get off, and I saw why we may not have gotten our order. Half of the people in there were on their phones joking around. I get it's teenagers or young adults, and they worship their phones. It wasn't like in the old days when everyone was focused on their purpose. Now, it seems like you interrupt their phone time with business instead of the other way around. Still love it, just sad that after 10 minutes in the drive-thru line, we were still missing meals.
This place is legit! The sauce they serve is second to none and goes surprisingly well with the fish and chips!! Service is fast and the folks are friendly. I’ve been eating here for over 30 years and the food quality has stayed consistent. Highly recommend! They also serve hamburgers, shrimp and chicken nuggets. Both the nuggets and shrimp are also very good! Their “tartar” sauce for the shrimp is the best I’ve ever had! Cash only though! They say nothing bigger than a $20 but I’ve been in line behind someone that only had a $100 before and they let it slide and took it as payment. They also have a drive through.
Been going to petes for a century or so now. The place is great all the time. Consistently good. Warning however bring cash and nothing over a $20. They don't take cards or checks.
