Review The Hub Grill And Bar - Mesa

12/2/23: popped in Saturday around 4:30 for a bite w/ a couple friends. There was a large party happening outdoors but we were seated inside immediately. Our server, Kayley (Kayla? sorry) was very nice and very attentive. The cheesy mashed potato balls were a hit; I was disappointed they didn't have the corn ribs, but the fried platter (pickles, mozzarella sticks, and Hub chips) was still good w/o them, the chips especially were very well seasoned; the basket of pretzels my friend got as her meal she said was very good. My sister really enjoyed her H.F.C. (mashed taters, mixed cheese, house gravy, roasted corn, onions & hand battered fried chicken tenderloins). It was a large amount of food, so much so that I think she had leftovers for her next two lunches. My turkey avo sammy was all right. Unfortunately it had the same problem many do: all the ingredients are piled high in the middle of the bread, making it a pregnant sandwich & a tad difficult to eat if you can't open your mouth wide enough. The coleslaw was creamy but it, too, would have been better if there weren't onions in it. The apple bread pudding did NOT have raisins, but it was slightly burnt on the top, and it was more apple than bread; def not one I would order again. If it was just me, I would have given three stars, but since the others really enjoyed their grub -- and because the place was clean, our server was actively keeping track of us -- four stars is a truer rating.

The place was very clean inside, and our waitress was really on top of things. She was very attentive and professional. I got the smoked wings. They were amazing. The only downside is how expensive they were. They ended up being about $3.25 per wing. Absolutely ridiculous. But you don’t know that because they sell them by the pound. My friend got the cauliflower nachos and said they were amazing. The chili, dog and tater tot’s were pretty good, according to my other friend. They had the music cranked up so loudly we could barely hear each other at our table.

Came on a Thursday night to celebrate my friend’s 21st birthday. It was like the whole restaurant was rented out just for us lol. Not a lot of people which is good for our group of 8 that came. The smoked wings were to die for! Cooked to perfection and the right amount of sauce. Our server was great and the drinks were amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I order grilled chicken salads everywhere I go. This was the most AMAAAAZING grilled chicken salad I've ever had in my life! Huge and delicious! My husband ordered the pot roast dip with mashed potatoes, which was also super good! Great patio area, beautiful atmosphere, phenomenal service we'll definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my first visit to The Hub. I spend some time on the patio sitting at the outside bar. The bartender did a great job with the service. When our table was ready we went inside and sat down at our table. The dining area had a great Sports Bar atmosphere. We ordered the Thursday special, half-price Pizza. I was very impressed with the taste of their pizza, considering it's from a sports bar. The only complaint I had was we planned on watching a sporting event and they would not turn up the volume for the game. Other than that I would enjoy going back to this establishment.

This is our second visit to this location and we had had a great lunch! Our server, Druw, was very attentive and friendly, and the food was great! My boyfriend and I shared the Brussel sprouts and we liked them (worth a try), if you dig that sort of APP.. I had the EL JEFE smoked wings (highly recommend*) and my boyfriend had the BBQ Bacon Burger (delicious). Thanks for an overall good experience and thanks again to for the great service from Druw after a long, tough work week.

Came here for dinner the other night and the food was amazing! Gotta get the smoked wings every time!!! The manager Nate was awesome! I couldn’t find my server (it was a busy night) and needed extra ranch for my wings. He dropped what he was doing to bring me extra ranch and topped off our drinks! It’s not every day anymore that you see a manager stepping in to help their staff when the store or restaurant gets busy. For that, I give him 5 stars!

We got recommended by some friends to go and try the wings and the wings were definitely a 10/10 for us. We ordered 2 pounds Arizona Smoke Wings. Flavor: El Jefe (Our favorite! Sweet and a spicy kick to it but it’s not too spicy) and Honey BBQ. We ordered basket of fries and 2 drinks. I got a lime margarita and the photo doesn’t give the credit it deserves but that margarita was absolutely amazing. Our server was very nice and attentive. Surprisingly, I was expecting the food to take a while because it was a bit busy but it didn’t. Overall experience was great!

Food.and.service were good. Large servings, everyone in the group had food to bring home. Lots of TVs for sports. Volume level was high. Difficult to carry on a conversation.

Great restaurant and bar! The food has always been excellent! The Steak and Bake last night was awesome! Cool atmosphere with lots of tvs for sports. We love the outdoor bar. Bartenders are always very attentive and super friendly. Highly recommend for great meal or just have a few drinks and hangout.

My mom and I went to the Hub for our first visit there, earlier this afternoon. The hostesses were very polite and respectful when seating us, and our waitress, Kaylee, was amazing! She was always around when we needed her and she asked if we needed anything frequently. We never had to seek her out. The customer service she showed us will be one of the main reasons we return to the Hub. The food was great and my mom was able to order some Gluten-Free items that were very tasty. The ambiance for Sunday football was in my wheelhouse. I was elated that I could watch every game that was scheduled and the fans in the bar were having a great time cheering for their teams! Overall one of the best sports bars I’ve been to in AZ 👍🏾

I was with a group of friends and they suggested coming here. I've never been here since I'm kind of new in town. It was a Thursday evening, and it was pretty busy. We waited for a table for about 10 minutes since we were a big group. We were seated outdoors. It was pretty hot, but they had the misters on, so it felt good. They recommended me trying the smoked wings, so I did. These have been one of my top 3 wings I've ever had. They were delicious and will fall off the bone easily. I also tried the nachos, which can easily feed 2 people. We had some beers and watched NBA & NHL playoffs. Great atmosphere!!! Highly recommend!

First time here at Hub on Stapley. What a surprise to find great service and great food. So many choices to choose from. We had Kaylee L as our waitress and boy does she know to make you feel at home and has excellent customer service skills. I'm impressed with the gluten free menu and the Cajun fries are to die for. We definitely will be back!

I went to the Hub Grill this last Saturday evening with my wife and son. The waiter was excellent and attentive. I ordered the Peanut Butter Bacon Burger. Unfortunately, I thought it was not that great, the waiter was cool about it, and took it off of the bill. The burger and bacon were good, with peanut butter it just seems way too dry. I ordered a pitcher of Sweaty Beaty Hefeweizen beer, at first, they gave us two glasses that were not cold. The person who brought it said we don't have any more cold glasses and we've been very busy. I told her this wouldn't work; then a second person brought two cold glasses. The beer was great and the price for the pitcher was good at $10. My wife had the fish tacos; she liked them. My son had the bacon burger; he was happy with it. We order potato skins; they were huge but only four of them for $10.00. All in all, I thought the food was pretty good but the pricing a bit high. The atmosphere was fine, enjoyed watching football and baseball. I would return, maybe at a happy hour time frame.

Went yesterday for the 1st time because I wasn't sure if it was family friendly but it is. Our server, Dee, was very sweet and patient with is as we had a hard time deciding what we wanted to eat. So many things sou fed good that we wanted to try. The menu is definitely not your typical sports bar grill menu. She was on top of our drinks and made sure we were taken care of without being over baring. At the end of our meal a gentlemen, I presumed that was the manager came to the table and spoke to us, also making sire we enjoyed our visit. A little pricey bit we will definitely be back to check out some of the other menu items that sounded amazing!

My family and I come here all the time and we love it! The location is great, and the patio outside is our home base. A well shaded patio, overhead fans, and comfy couches outside make for a great, laid-back time. Not even to mention the loaded mashed potato balls... family favorite!

We have been to The HUB on Sossaman/Baseline about 5 times since we moved from Chandler to Gilbert. This location is 1 mile from our home and we love their food and all of the employees have been so good to us each and every visit, but we couldn't wait for the opening at the new location even though it would be a much further drive! We ❤️ the outdoor patio and appreciate at least half of it being NON SMOKING! I've always felt it unfair for the many months we get to enjoy our weather I could not ever be outside with the puffers! So big plus here! The GM is a wonderful person! Very friendly to all patrons and makes a point to say hello and chat for a bit! Every item we've ordered has been phenomenal! I would highly recommend the Appetizer called Shrimp Scampi! It's amazing! The AZ smoked wings are phenomenal and my husband loved his Steak sandwich and his side of the jalapeño onion straws are the � I'd love to post the pics of our food because just seeing it would make you hungry! Don't hesitate to bring your family either they are kid friendly and offer a game room! We love the HUB!

Atmosphere was great... was not impressed with my food��My wings & mushroom came out cold I would eat there food again... but if your just there to just drink and watch game than yes not a bad place to watch it at..

The Hub is our go to place hands down. The new location is great, love the huge patio. Can't wait to see what Chef designs for the weekly specials. Keep in mind you are competing with your colleagues so make it awesome and irresistible! ;)

Great place to watch sports and have a beer! Servers are awesome!!! Just really noisy, so you can't hear the people you are talking with... but awesome place!

AMAZING food every time. Hubby and I went on a packed Thursday night and were seating immediately, service was very fast, and the food arrived much quicker than we anticipated. The food was excellent! Even though the place gets REALLY loud, you feel a part of the whole atmosphere and it's comfortable. This is our new favorite sit down restaurant. :)

Like they say Good Times & Great Food....tons of tv's, great patio with outside bar, game room for the kids & the famous Treasure Box for the kids

the food was not good at all, service was mediocre, atmosphere was ok. manager came out to apologize for the quality of the food. we won't be going back!!

I went there with the deaf group for Deaf NFL this morning. Wings looks good to taste with a basket of fries. The waitress did a good job to serve. few of them know alphabet sign language. I will come back again for a while in the future. Way to go!!
