Review La Strada Restaurant - Merrick

Late lunch with a quite place to eat. Decor was like old worlds Italian. Parking in rear of building. Penne alla Vodka and chicken francese with grilled vegetables and a potato. They were Delicious. Didn't need additional seasoning and cooked perfectly.

Was out to dinner with my sister. We had a great time. Food is excellent. Our server Andrew was wonderful making sure our food came at the right time. Our table was always clean. The bartender made excellent Cosmos and Martinis. Very friendly outgoing people. Definitely a must try.

The food was amazing and it was nice to be able to talk to the people across the table without yelling.. The music was soft and did not get in the way of conversation. The restaurant, although large feels cozy and romantic. The service is friendly and pleasant... We've gone back three times already.

Entry is at parking lot side not street side, don't know if it's seasonal. Ordered the basics spaghetti and meatballs, salad with grilled chicken, and pizza. Spaghetti sauce was one of the best I had and meatball was pretty good. House salad grilled chicken I have to say was perfect seasoned just right for a salad. Pizza was great. Service was excellent host and servers all great.

Excellent spot for dinner. Got the buffalo chicken pizza and the calamari for Entrees. Both were delicious. For Entrees we got the skirt steak, gnocchi and a chicken dish. All were tasty and the portions were great. This restaurant is great for dining it and take out. Our waiter was very professional.

Fantastic Italian food worth every penny, if you’re ever in Long Island! Monday a week ago went to dinner with a couple friends and enjoyed everything we ate and drank. We had a fresh Mozzarella appetizer and calamari to start, followed by wine, then I had a delicious pappardelle noodles with short ribs. We shared a few desserts at the end, not sure what they were called, but all of them were wonderful as well. If I’m ever back in the area and want an excellent dinner I know where to go again!

Everything we ate was absolutely delicious!! I was blown away by how large and scrumptious our appetizer was… we shared a gigantic stuffed artichoke… I had the halibut dinner… large portion of veggies.. seasoned and cooked to perfection! Our server was so kind and never skipped a beat!! This visit was for dinner… we have been here for lunch and the selections were great and everything was just as good! This place is reasonable, comfortable and I highly recommend it for a wonderful lunch or dinner!!

This is a great place for family dinners. It's lively, friendly, exactly what you would expect at an Italian family dinner. The pizzas are "chef's kiss". Very big with delicious fresh toppings. The crust is slighty charred and crunchy but soft on the top with sauce and mozzarella cheese. The pizzas are made FRESH TO ORDER so they will take 30-45 minutes to cook. DO NOT COME IN LOOKING FOR FOOD RIGHT NOW. Sit back, have a drink, appetizer and enjoy your meal!

My first time here , everything we ordered was delicious! The pizza brought back memories of nyc best old school pizza taste !

If your in for mode authentic Italian food with a family style vibe, this is a great place.

Always such amazing food and service! We've been coming here for years for date nights, special nights, and birthdays. NEVER disappointed in any aspect! One of my favorite restaurants on Long Island!

The drive here is worth the gas! I have never been disappointed with anything I or my dining companions have ordered. Their Eggplant Rollitini is one of the best I've ever had. The grilled Veal Bruschetta was exceptional. The ambiance is Tuscany and the staff is very attentive. Always a dining pleasure every visit.

We’ve been to la strada before but attending today for our daughters first communion exceeded expectations. Food and service was a 12/10. Truly a wonderful experience and I couldn’t possibly recommend them higher for a date night or an event.

I've been going to this restaurant for years now. The food is consistently good, much of the wait staff has been there for years and are very nice and helpful. They have a huge selection of desserts in addition to the delicious food and wood fired pizza. I would highly suggest visiting.

The food and service were excellent! The portions were very good also. I had the lobster ravioli and couldn't have been happier! The three other people I ate with all loved their food and the amount given! Kudos to La Strada!!

Had our daughters’ Communion luncheon this past weekend. Staff was attentive, courteous and food was great. Highly recommend for brick oven pizza, dinner, and special occasions. Thanks!!

Service was excellent 7 of our 8 entree's were very good, the 8th, Chicken Scarpariello should be taken off the menu, not even close to La Parma's and not in the same league with Carmine's.

Beautiful place. I had the Veal Chop special..It was out of this world..Can't wait to go back !
