Barnyard Kitchen And Bar

The food was delicious but the service was VERY slow. My husband took me for mothers day and they had one server and the bartender taking tables. I ordered the pot roast with mashed potatoes and it was very good. DH ordered the Bbq chicken and although the flavor was delicious the chicken was a little dry. The atmosphere was great and the restaurant clean, and every mom in the restaurant got a long stem rose for mothers day. Nice touch. Will go back but maybe not on a busy night.

I had a great meal at Barnyard Kitchen. The brisket was excellent. My wife had the barnyard burger and it is her new favorite burger in town. The restaurant is very clean and not dingy or smoky. They had a really cool smoker set up outside and the server informed me they use post oak to smoke their meat, I don't know if that's good or bad or makes a difference but since my food was great I will say it's a good thing. We had banana pudding for dessert which was excellent. We will be back.

A great discovery! CHICKEN AND WAFFLES WITH HONEY BUTTER AND SPICY WATERMELON!!! Excellent! And my wife got an amazing open faced smoked turkey & gravy sandwich (also excellent!) And the fried green tomato appetizer was outstanding! Next time I'm going to get either the Barnyard Burger or the BBQ Duo and my wife's going to get either the Salisbury Steak or th salmon... And the bowl of ice cream with the warm chocolate chip cookie for dessert was perfect! We will definitely be back!

Had high hopes for this place. The food tasted good but we were disappointed with what we ordered. I had the chicken and waffles but the waffles were very soggy and the chicken was BBQ chicken and not skilled fried like the menu said. I even doubled checked with the waitress and she confirmed that what I got was right. When the menu describes skillet fried chicken I'm not expecting saucy BBQ chicken. My husband had the open-face turkey sandwich which he said was blah. The gravy it was served didn't fit with the theme of a turkey sandwich; more a mushroom gravy instead of a turkey gravy. Both the chicken and turkey were dry, like they'd been overcooked. My sons had the pork ribs and the salisbury steak and the both devoured them. The restaurant is very nice and clean but not sure if we'll go back.

We came during happy hour and it was one of the best decisions we could've made! We tried the Butcher Block Fries and the Fried Green Tomato Snack, which were both delicious. The meat was top notch, and this coming from a rancher's daughter! The cheese curds were so sumptuous, and the fried green tomatoes were fried to perfection. We shared 3 cocktails: Porch Swing (very grapefruit, bitter but yummy), Watermelon Julep (strong, just how I like it), and the Red Rooster (made the way the bartender suggested, with ruby red soda and lime, also strong but touched all points on the palette). The decor is fitting and unassuming, as are the staff. Our waiter had a perfect balance of checking in vs. leaving us alone. Impressed.
