Covas Great American Food

Something has been missing in Merced for a VERY long time... GOOD. FOOD. All the restaurants in town have become complacent and are no longer serving up competition, they'd rather serve the stuff that used to taste good that now tastes bland and is old news, just no more TLC in their food. Cova's has done something special, they've taken classic menu items, and made them exactly the way it's supposed to be, with that nice touch of TLC! I had the NY Steak with grilled shrimp, ordered medium, loaded baked potato, family had sirloin steak and shrimp, salmon, and the chicken fried steak. For appetizers we got the BBQ chicken wings, cheese sticks, and fries. Only one of the steaks was a little dry, but my NY steak was juicy and flavorful, like it just came out of a butter bath. The grilled shrimp, more like gigantic prawns, pairing made it a great surf and turf. Merced FINALLY has a great place in town to fulfill that steak craving, and now I want to go back and try their pizza! Keep this up and it'll always be 5 stars from me!

Excellent food, friendly staff, great service and very reasonable prices. Definitely will visit again. We tried the combo appetizer platter, Cova's combo pizza, Margherita pizza, Alfredo with shrimp and the Tilapia plate. All four of us only had good things to say about our food. Also the coffee was decent.

Now this is a place to bring the whole family! Breakfast, lunch and Dinner Menu! The food is prepared to order and made from scratch! This menu is a 3 meal a day menu! Separate Bar dining and family and friends dining! Located in the parking lot with Merced Inn and Suites! What ever your taste buds are asking for, I’m sure they got you covered!

Our Group has done a event here quite often and weither it be upstairs or downstairs the place is beautiful!!! Lots of seating.. There is a bar downstairs with lots of seating and the best Mango Margaritas!! I've had upscale food here and pizza and both are delish!! Classy place!! 2 restrooms with changing table and high chairs.. Kids cups and clean restroom.. Friendly staff! Great job Cova's!

The location in not the best, but the food was great! The service was really good. They make the food as you order it. I got country steak with gravy, eggs and hash browns. My daughter a vegetable calzone. My other daughter a zucchini sandwich with fries. My granddaughter spaghetti. My mother tomato soup and house salad. Everything was delicious.
