Absolutely love this place. Great staff and the best tamales in Memphis if you're looking for authentic ones. And they also handmade their tortillas and actually sell them to a lot of the restaurants up and down summer Ave.

Lovely surprise. Not much to look at but the dining room and food is a superior addition to the Summer corridor. First off, following COVID guidelines. Food was well prepared and delicious. I hate refried beans and rice but these were tasty;fortunately, he also had really tasty whole pinto beans. Oh, man, they were good. I had an al pastor street taco, two chicken tamales and more than enough to share with my mom. But It is the sauces! Both red and green were tangy, bright and spicy. My husband had the al pastor burrito, the closest he's found to a San Francisco Mission style burrito. Chips and salsa fresh and homemade. If I like the chips and salsa, I'm almost guaranteed to enjoy the food. Only drawback was the runny white cheese queso. Advise you skip that. We ordered water, which arrived in huge cups. Free, easy parking. Service was so friendly and cheerful. We are headed back soon.

Super nice authentic Mexican restaurant. The vibes make you feel like you are at a Mexican house and the employees are very nice and dispatch you order right away. They have plenty of tables and have tvs for entertainment! Definitely a place to be if you want a good meal !

The food at this restaurant was very good and authentic. They had a wide variety available on their menu. I really enjoyed their menudo, tortillas and pork tamales. I'm pretty picky when it comes to those items but when I ate them here, I felt like I was back home in San Antonio.

I've been looking for good, fresh tamales since we moved up here from Texas and this is the place. Delicious!

Great food however, the prices don't match the menus, and apparently change frequently. Went last week and orders the same thing as yesterday and the price jumped afew dollars.

If you want authentic hot tamales in a corn husk without the Americanize chilli and cheese then this is the place for you. I've tried the chicken and pirk. The spice level is perfect and if you want some extra heat then mix the red snd green sauces and dip your tamale in it...Amazing

I stopped in to pick up fresh made flour tortillas. They were the best I have had, even better that my family made at home. They were thick and had that bite I have been looking for. When I heated them up they puffed up at least an inch and a half. Living in Texas most of my life, I am very picky when it comes to tortillas. While I was there I picked up some Tacos Barbacoa. They were amazing. They were cooked Texas style without all the red chilis. I strongly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to try other dishes.

Really good coastal style Mexican food. They have the best homemade chips and tortillas in the WHOLE CITY. Only con is the consistency with the way dishes that are made by different cooks so depends on who cooking but it will be good regardless

If you are looking for good tasty chicken tamales good price for a dozen. I haven’t tried anything else. Not the fanciest place but I looked at the reviews and the photos and yes the chicken tamales are excellent!
