Everything was spot ON from food to bartender. We ate at the bar and the Rum Punch🍹 was amazing. The coconut 🍤 was delicious and the serving size of the curry chicken was enough to feed 2 ppl, butter cake was a great way to finish this Caribbean meal. We even heard the live band from downstairs. Go check this place out!

Excellent experience !! Great Great Food, Superior Service and Superb Atmosphere !! This is a must visit when in Memphis.......the Beef Patties as appetizers and Ox Tails as an entree were both flavorful and filling !! Can't miss Traditional Jamaican & Panamanian dishes !!

Service was exceptional đź‘Ś and the food was on point. I had the OX Tail, peas&rice, and cabbage. Beef was tender, juicy, and seasoned well. The sides were excellent. The sides were also prepared and seasoned well.
Our server was cheerful, attentive, and overall very personable. I'll be back soon to try the jerk chicken.

The food was great, waitress was great, but there is a long wait to be seated, to bring your food. I order extra rice to take and have been waiting for almost 30 min. For it. If you are patient, well worth the wait.

This Jamaican Jerk Chicken plate is EVERYTHING! It's packed full of flavor and cooked just right! They also have some of the best oxtails I've ever had. Staff is always personable and friendly. If you like Jamaican cuisine, I highly recommend giving them a try.

First time here and the food was good! I ordered the Curry Shrimp and Grits with Cabbage and Plantains on the side. My friend ordered the Oxtails. I tried some of her Oxtails, because I have never had them before..... & I can say they were Good! The food, the vibe and drinks was 10/10. Our waitress Shay was awesome!!! I'll definitely be back!

Absolutely wonderful. This was our first visit and it won't be our last. The oxtail, cabbage, plantains, and rice were amazing. That sauce mixed with the rice is to die for. I don't typically like sweet drinks, but the rum punch was tasty! Shout out to our server Brian...great dude!
I live in Memphis, but I'm staying downtown for a week. I will definitely be back this weekend.

I finally caught this place open! Got there at 5pm and barely beat the rush. Got seated right away and Teresa was the best server. I ordered the curry shrimp and grits. I love shrimp and grits and curried was just awesome. Love! The shrimp were huge. Great taste. Good portion size. I wanted desert but didn't want to chance leaving uncomfortable. Lol. Maybe next time. I'll be back for more!

I ordered the Oxtail Alfredo pasta. I had to put my fork down for this review. There is so much meat and it is very delicious. I normally get the Shrimp/ Chicken Jerk Alfredo (which is spicy and delicious).

Lord Jesus, BLESS THE COOK!! Coming from Louisiana, we expect great flavor, and we got that plus more. We ordered curry goat and the oxtail. Everything was amazing. I would eat here every day if I could.

Awesome experience, hot food, and great ambiance. Overall, a great treat during the final day of this week. I can't wait until I go again. I got a Rum Punch, the oxtails along with cabbage, rice, and a Caesar salad. This was absolutely awesome!!!!!!

Opening day!! It was a limited menu. I had the Curry Chicken and the Arroz con Pollo with the complimentary beef patties. It was busy and you can tell the servers were still new so no issues there. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming. Also had the Rum Punch. Wish they were stronger but they were decent. Can't wait to see the full menu and hopefully they have some authentic Jerk wings..

Oh my LANTA! This place is an absolute must if you’re in Memphis! Now the food was PHENOMENAL! We had a party of five and were immediately seated. Our server, Brian, was super attentive and friendly. He got my kids chicken tenders and fries in first thing. They were great, seasoned and super fresh! The remainder of us ordered the curry goat plate, oxtail plate, and the jerk chicken Alfredo plate. I also ordered a side of Tostones (non-sweet plantain) and Maduros (sweet plantains). Every single thing was absolutely seasoned to perfection and delicious. The curry goat and the oxtail were the most tender pieces of meat I’ve ever had! The jerk chicken Alfredo was outstanding, especially if you’re good with the good kick it has! The Maduros were perfect and the tostones were cooked to perfection! I highly recommend and will DEFINITELY be returning on my next visit! Hats off to the chef, Kireen (might be spelled wrong) and her brother as this is an amazing family owned business!

We tried once before to eat at Curry N Jerk but due to Covid restrictions, couldn’t. I’m so glad we finally had the opportunity to sit down and eat. This restaurant by far is excellent! Our waitress, Porscha was very professional and friendly. The food was fresh, delicious, and plentiful. We had the sampler appetizer, the ox tails platter, and the combo curry/jerk chicken platter. I’m so excited that we now have a restaurant to take our out of town family and friends to eat. It took us almost 3 years to find a restaurant we truly love.
I just looked at my receipt after reading other comments and discovered we also got charged gratuity automatically for a party of 2. Not happy about this which makes our gratuity almost 50% of our bill but I know for next time. Fortunately for CNJ, we had excellent service and food or I’d have a problem. Gratuity should only be tacked on automatically for more than 4 or so in a party and it should be verbally disclosed so that I can decide if I wish to give more. Looking forward to going back again and again.
