Review Coletta's Italian Restaurant - Memphis

Great Italian restaurant I'm surprised that they weren't more busy, the one downtown is always busy. If you want to find a great place to go go to the one in Bartlett. There's always Seating and the service was great the food was even better. And lunch runs till 4 O'Clock

Nice little Italian restaurant here in Cordova, TN. I was told the original restaurant has been open for over 100 years. I got the Shrimp Diane which was a little spicy for me but overall was good. Spice level was only an issue because I'm a wimp when it comes to spice. Shrimp Diane was shrimp over Fettuccine in a creamy cheesy sauce.

We have always enjoyed eating at Coletta's and have eaten there numerous times with great results. This was my first time ordering Bulk Takeout though. I often order for between 40 and 250 people as part of my job. This was the smoothest any pickup has ever gone. I ordered 2 days in advance and everything was completely ready when I walked in at 11am, exactly when they opened. It was organized, properly labeled, the hot food was hot, the cold food was cold, and absolutely everything was there. They provided all the plates and plasticware needed as well. We enjoyed the Fettuccine Alfredo, Spaghetti Marinara, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Italian Spinach, Salad with multiple dressing choices, and Garlic Bread. Everyone eating was ecstatic! The Fettuccine Alfredo, Spinach, and Garlic Bread being the true stars. From ordering to pickup, everyone was efficient, professional, and so nice. The price was incredible for the amount of food we got. I look forward to ordering from them on a regular basis moving forward.

Coletta’s on Appling Rd is always a great place to go for Italian food. The service and food are good and prices reasonable. The restaurant itself is well maintained inside. Kendra was our waitress this evening and she did a great job.

Came here on Saturday after church around 5:45 got seated around 6:05. The waitress was super friendly and was fast with getting our drinks out. The small All Meat Pizza was amazing with the rolls that came before that were soft and great.

A family tradition dating over 40 years back to the Summer Avenue days and Ms. Gladys when I was very young...I remember getting So Excited on holidays or whenever relatives came to visit from out of town, because that almost always meant Going Out To Eat At Coletta's with my grandparents, my parents and siblings, plus all of our aunts, uncles, and cousins! We'd always have a party of 20 or more, with at least half of us kids who'd "ruin our dinner" by devouring every single shred of cheese from the shakers on our tables before even placing our orders! Now that my generation is the "parents" and all of us have our own children, we're continuing this cherished tradition whenever we possibly can. Last weekend we had another fantastic family gathering thanks to the always-excellent food and consistently stellar service from the staff! We especially enjoyed the manager and a few other employees coming out with an extra-loud birthday serenade and some decadent chocolate cake for us to celebrate my cousin's daughter's birthday!! I really hope that this next generation will follow in our footsteps and keep the tradition going with family and Coletta's!

The atmosphere is nice. Food was pretty good aside from the ravioli appetizer that was dry af. I ordered the Italian salad, eggplant parmesan, and cheesecake for dessert. My partner ordered the Chicken Florentine Canneloni and cheesecake. First and foremost, the meal was delicious. My dish, the eggplant Parm, was the absolute best I've ever had. The poor waiter was clearly overworked. Sweet tea was ok, could have been sweeter. The cheesecake and chocolate cake we were served was still fairly frozen when it was served. Photos are of after taking food home. Totally forgot to take a picture before eating 😅 the food was that good.

June 1, 19 we had the pleasure of coming to Coletta’s Italian Restaurant to enjoy their food in the party room. Everything was completely furnished and catered, it was a party for my cousin who has become a doctor and is now leaving to do her residency in Chicago. Coletta’s was the perfect venue for this event to be held at. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Their party room in the back and it’s very spacious, nice long tables and linens with plenty of seating. And there was an area for a DJ. The menu was big shrimp pasta, chicken Marsala, garden salad, chicken Alfredo and there was for different type of pizzas; cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, veggie pizza and meat lover. There was cake for dessert. They have a full bar and you can order from the menu. I could see coming here for their lunch specials, dinner or to hold a group event in their party room!

We had a party of 9, no reservations, and got there early (5ish). There were 2 large parties in the back rooms. They were understaffed, but our server (Shelby, I think) was outstanding!! She was honest and up front, letting us know that a few staff members didn't come in, but she didn't miss a beat. Our meals were on point, and the atmosphere was great.

Went here tonight with my sister. The food was pretty decent. The service was excellent, however. Our server (I think her name was Stephanie, but I’m not certain unfortunately) was very kind, quick, communicative, and checked on us often. We enjoyed dining here :)

Food was great as always. I had chicken parm and Italian spinach. My wife had the lasagna. Portions are large and of good quality. Service was very poor on this trip. Was likely the particular server. Others seemed to be doing better.

A Memphis classic! Food is always so good! BBQ pizza ( we like the small appetizer ones as an entree), Lasagna, manicotti, chicken Florentine, & rolls! Service is always good too! Always a great experience!

The food was very good. The alfredo sauce was creamy and delicious with plenty on the plate unlike many other restaurants. The salmon was very juicy and perfectly cooked. Overall a very good and authentic tasting meal.

Buddy of mine from work had been raving about how good this place was so my wife and I decided to try it out. Very friendly and attentive wait staff and the restaurant was decorated nicely. That's where the compliments end. We got the BBQ Pizza as an appetizer. It was nothing more than a scoop of bbq on top of a tasteless over sized cracker like dough and the sauce was horrible. I ordered the lasagna for my main dish. It came out in a miniature version of a oval dog bowl. It was nothing but noodles and sauce. I would have been better off going to the local supermarket and getting a frozen one. My wife ordered the chicken Alfredo. The noodles and sauce were good but the chicken was greasy. Needless to say we will never be eating there again. I was told this Coletta's blew Olive Garden out of the water. Coletta's couldn't compete with my German grandmother's version of Italian food

We found the place by accident and decided to try it. The Barbecue pizza is awesome and the around world is great. We loved their homemade dressings for the salads. Wonderful place and we will return again.

My husband and I decided to eat here. He has been raving about the pizza for over a year that he got from the Parkway location. We were passing by and decided to try this location (my first time). Atmosphere and service were great at first. Ordered “All Meat” pizza. The sausage and beef were no cooked throughout (raw) and not seasoned At All. How can sausage not be seasoned...? The sauce taste like it may have been the cheap stuff from Walmart. Then I asked was there a manager on duty and was told they had all went home...1 he prior to closing. Will not return and now I’m scared to try the other location. Horrible!!!

I had dinner with my old mentor only for the Wester to be completely dismissive, make the wrong drink order, and take an hour for our meal which was actually cold. Probably the worst Italian food I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t have left a review if Facebook hadn’t just promoted me. But in the end, my meal was embarrassing to my mentor. I was ashamed of it and the lack of care the Colettas have taken at the Appling Road location.

This is a place you go to when you want atmsphere and friendly people. Honestly though the food is just horrible i have had better Chef Boyardee. I was kind of embarrassed for them. I was not the only diner who thought this way apparently as many plates were removed barely touched.

I just popped in for some toasted raviolis <3 to go. Quicker than a drive thru at a fast food place!! Less than $10. Yummmmm....

literally the best! They catered my wedding rehearsal and everyone raved about how much they loved it! sweet staff and owners!

The bread was exceptional. The best spinach dip I’ve had. Manicotti was off, though. The filling had a sweetness to it that I didn’t care for.

My husband just got out of a long stay in the hospital and we wanted good Italian food for Valentines. I went to Colettas some as a kid. The food was awful! His lasagna was in a metal pan with nothing but canned sauce, no cheese, hardly no meat. My orange roughy was pre-cooked frozen was way too salty and tough, barely warmed. The spinach tasted canned with hardly no egg. The waitress honored several tables' coupons but not ours. Then had to pay for the whole thing. Not happy campers! We won't be back!!

The best BBQ pizza in the world!!! I have so many fond memories of Coletta's after cheering at a football game and going to. Coletta's with Tommy and Joe Coletta, picking up pizzas !!

I was part of a party of 38 on a Sunday evening. I ordered the manicotti & side order of Italian spinach. After about 10-15 minutes, the waitress came to inform me that "they were out of manicotti. So I then change to cannelloni. When everyone's food was being served the waitress tells me "they are out of spinach"! By then I was not happy. In addition, my cannelloni was barely warm. Bread & tea was good! My FAIR rating is being generous. Thank goodness the meal was taken care of by management.
