Great spot in midtown, cover for bands runs 10 to 15 bucks, location is amazing, walking distance to many other places. Bartenders are cool, can get crowded quickly,

DKDC is a fun spot to have a good drink and a great meal. It’s very eclectic and unlike most places here in Memphis. I would recommend for a date night or just a quick drink with friends. They also have live music a few days during the week.

Small quaint venue, loved the Christmas night show vibes, the sheiks were grand ♡

It's like an upscale, crowded house party with the hottest people, the best clothes, the strongest drinks, and a band so close you can feel the heat rising off their instruments. If intimate were defined as a bar, it would be Bar DKDC.

If you can’t get a table the Beauty Shop, this sister restaurant serves food from the same kitchen. You can even order off the same menu. The foods good, the atmosphere is dark and very much a bar scene.

The bartenders here all seem super nice and competent.
It s a cute little space.
But y'all..I really can only review the patio area....which is every thing a Midtown bar should have, including good fans and sturdy chairs. 100% Five star patio!!!
But
I m pretty sure the building is haunted. The little bar room is well laid out and decorated. It's not that the interior design is spooky or anything off putting. It s quite cute with a chilled out aesthetic. The staff are lovely and welcoming. So either their neat little vintage photo booth thing in the back has something extra or the actual shop space it s self is just charged up with some kind something.
It s not scary or anything, just a notable feeling once inside that grows stronger the farther away from the door.
Being haunted isnt usually a problem for a Memphis bar and DKDC is no exception. It probably actually adds to the experience. Check their calendar as their entertainment runs a wide variety of tastes and there s probably at least one night coming up that you d like. The lady bartenders I encountered were all very fast and friendly, although I ve taken to drinking only Sprite when visiting since the building is haunted and spirits and spirits arent fun to mix.

It's a really cool place but it's super tiny they have good live music but it's literally elbow-to-elbow and hard to get a drink

If you're looking for a cozy bar oozing with atmosphere, look no further. Bar DKDC has an interesting drink menu as well as a rotating food menu. Being able to order food from The Beauty Shop is a definite plus as well. The staff was friendly and easy going. I will definitely be returning to check out their live music scene!

Excellent food, exceptional service, and really eclectic atmosphere of a true beauty shop (some seats even have sit under hairdryers!). Good wine list & beer selection, too. Very happy with my Valentine's dinner choice for me & my wife

Great bar. Wonderful intimate music venue. No food.

I miss DKDC! Can't wait for this place to open again when life returns to normal... it's a good go-to spot for great drinks and small bites and I've never been disappointed by the music booked. You won't regret going!

The name "Bar DKDC (Don't Know Don't Care)" only tells half the story.
To me, it's a restaurant/lounge.
This is one of my go-to restaurants for good, small-to-medium-sized plates. They have great portion sizes!
The cool thing about DKDC is they regularly change the menu, but keep items that are huge crowd favorites like the Chicken Havanas (DELISH). I've never had a bad dish.
DKDC is full of character and comfort.
I love the decor, I feel like I'm in an artsy loft whenever I go there.
On weekends, you might stumble upon an awesome local band.
It's a must-do, if you're in Memphis.
Oh, before you leave, be sure to take a $5 pic in the photo booth with your pal.

I loooove this place. It's small, which lends to a warm ambiance of fellowship between the performers, Brenda Newport being particularly lovely, the clientele, and the friendly and speedy employees.

Located in the historical area of Memphis TN, midtown, this bar near the corner of cooper and young hosts an incredibley wide range of musical styles, talents and sounds in between the famous restaurants Mulan (Chinese Restaurant) on the corner and the Beauty Shop which shares the same building as Bar DKDC. Musicians from all over the country and all over the world have been known to attend and perform, from actors such as Tom Cruise to Boo Mitchell to local favorites like Marcella and her lovers, Steve Selvidge and many many more. The bar even has its own restaurant with chefs who have been to culinary schools, there is a brunch on Sundays that's bar far one of the best that memphis has to offer, an extremely professional crew, with that southern hospitality that's just not found in most places you are sure to make this a place not only to visit but become a regular as well.

Excellent bar very friendly staff and customers was in here on barman birthday and had a great night couple have me a list of places to visit while in town

It's obvious the warm jungle room atmosphere had me at the door. Then the way every thing was squashed in such a small eceletic style made it brighter. AND the may I Amy and Ben are the best in Memphis. Your setting is the best for them. To top things off your food!!!! Was perfect in size, flavor, and delicious. I don't drink but it was my. Birthday and had 2 martini's that was the best present I ever had. Don't worry I just have high blood pressure. Not off the wagon.

Great food, drinks, and staff as well as a killer spot to catch live music!

Bar DKDC has been a huge part of the city's music scene and character for years. You can rest assured any show you see here is quality- and so is the food and drink game. This place makes for the perfect escape from more generic scenes and allows you to feel like you are in a more divey setting, but it's divey without the dirtiness associated with dives. On top of that, behind the bar you will find some of the best bartenders in the city. Thanks DKDC!

Hippest spot in Memphis - most diverse patrons, fabulous owner, attentive staff and the live music scene is the most eclectic.

We've attended several of your Sat. night events and have always had an awesome time. The people are friendly and we love the cozy atmosphere of DKDC's quaint establishment! We enjoy hanging out on the patio with our friends. The staff is wonderful. The DJ's know how to rock it down especially Aundrea Lowery!!! They know how to keep a crowd dancing!!! We'll be back for sure!

Lisa Torrence
One of my fave spots in Memphis. Food and atmosphere is eclectic and so is the music. Walked in hearing the tunes of Graham Winchester Band and danced all night! Fantastic band dropping down all kinds of soulful glee!
Kerry Palmertree
Tonight started off well. Then an obviously over served patron who had been drinking at the bar here for sone time began to harass us and other patrons, particularly female with vulgar comments. I asked for the owner to intervene and was ignored by her staff. Sad.
Craig Wiener
best place to see live music in the city......period
Van Lee Cheeseman
Delightful drams, dancing, and merriment. The bar smelled so good.
Robert Jethro Wyatt
Great to be able to see the Oblivians again! Thanks BAR DKDC.
