Pork was juicy and flavorful. Great seasonings and the hot BBQ sauce met the balance of vinegar although I would have preferred it to have a bit more kick in the heat dept. the only thing I would not recommend is the nachos. Out of all the cheeses you can make pulled pork nachos, this place chooses processed “nacho cheese” which if you like stadium food more power to you. I am looking forward to going back!

While passing through Memphis, I looked for a place to get BBQ for dinner. My husband and I tried here because he was specifically in the mood for a pulled pork sandwich. It was because I couldn't narrow down what I wanted that I got the Sampler! The pulled pork was very tender and delicious, and the chicken thighs had an incredible crunchy coating with well seasoned meat. I was slightly disappointed in the ribs, however, because while the sauce was amazing, the meat was not fall of the bone tender. I did enjoy the collard greens, which had a little bit of spice that complimented the meats well. Service was not super fast, but our food did come out quickly once we ordered. This place is not upscale by any means, in desperate need of an updating, but the food is good and worth the stop.

If your on Beale and want some bbq that’s more typical of the outlying mom and pop joints this place will give you an idea of the smaller ‘hole in the wall’ joints. 5 of the 6 in our group lined their food and one was disappointed with the bbg bologna sandwich. A thin slice of bologna on thick cut toast is sort of backwards of what you find in Memphis. Most places give you a cut at least 1/2 inch thick. The bbq was good, but the atmosphere and service not so much. Only one waitress so the service was slow, inside was run down and an annoying noisy fan was irritating and like a lot of Beale street buildings, the floor was wore out and in bad need of a good cleaning.

The Pig on Beagle is a nonsense, bare bones BBQ place right in the heart of the Beale Street entertainment district. Don't let that dissuade you. There are a bunch of different choices on the menu, and a full bar with a number of beers on tap. The staff were very, very friendly and attentive. I'd highly recommend.

Patience is worth it! Fresh out the smoker pulled pork so tender and flavorful and the fries were the best I have had here so far! Our server Raven is fun and thoughtful and made it a great experience:)

Came in and decided to order the small platter.Way more food than the two of us could eat in one sitting, but it sure was good enough to try! 😂 Took plenty back to the hotel to eat later. Definitely worth stopping in! Go with the platter-chicken, pork, ribs, and all the fixins, you will not be disappointed! Wait staff was free e fly and amazing too!

This place has THE BEST BBQ IN TOWN! We have been to several and I don’t know why they were not crowded. Just insane!! Party of 7 2x and just couldn’t understand. We all agreed it was so so good. Did see small groups come in. Maybe slow time.got a huge sample platter. Ribs best ever had, chicken had a dry rub and it was so so good. Corn on cob yummy only enough for one . Baked Beans delicious and ample for sharing. ( you get 4 sides with this ) fries good, collard greens my mother got and said tasty. The pork was good, this was so good we came back for another night!!! Hoping out of towhees AB’s locals stop by. Only thing was they would out of some sodas but it’s ok. Can’t be so picky when food is that good!!! Service great

Dive bar on Beale St. Serves BBQ. We shared a plate with pulled pork and chicken. It was good. Not spectacular but good. Meat was not dry. But the BBQ baked beans....! Excellent! Next time I'm in Memphis on Beale St. I will stop in just for the beans!

Came with some friends. Food was amazing. The ribs were cooked perfectly, the beans were excellent and the potato salad was incredible. The BBQ sauce was good. The pulled pork was excellent as well. The French fries were also great. The restaurant seating was quaint and the place isn't very big. But it was clean and the music was good.

Absolutely engaging staff, relaxed and chill atmosphere, crazy good BBQ, and really great overall spot to have a beer and some BBQ. One of the best spots we ate BBQ in fact! This place has a ton of awards for good reason! And it’s right in the heart of Beale street!

This restaurant has the BEST BBQ we have ever eaten, and we're from Texas. We walked into live music and were sat quickly. The high chair did not have a good latch and the waitress sent someone across the street to get us a better one. We decided on a family platter that serves 3 to 5 and the tray was huge! We chose ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken, and brisket. For the sides we ordered turnip greens(they were spicy good), baked beans, potato salad, and there was also bread with the food. We had ordered the kids chicken legs and a chicken strips and fries meal but they mainly ate the BBQ meat. We didn't mind as the chicken legs and tenders were delicious! The flavor was phenomenal! I could have drank The BBQ Sauce. The meat just fell off the ribs. The pork was so tender. The brisket; we still dream about. The smokiness on the chicken legs was delicious. The service was amazing!
