Excellent food (big portion) and good service! Our server Maya was super nice and patient with us! I'll make sure to request her when I go back.
The price range is without alcohol.

We ate at Brooklyn Bridge this past weekend and the food was delicious and the experience wonderful. This is the second time we've been in the past few weeks and it's one of our new favorite spots. I got the fried eggplant appetizer and it's perfect -- crisp eggplant and delicious marinara. I also got the spinach lasagna (we're vegetarian) and my wife got the Bari pizza and both were delicious. Great mixed drinks too. Highly recommended for a nice night out.

Food was decent but not quite right? Not very fresh food but you get a fair bit of it, service was great!! Very sweet staff. Great tiramisu martinis!

So Cullen was an excellent server. We never wanted for anything. This restaurant is beautiful inside and has all the wonderful Italian smells. We all order the Spicy Italian pizza, veal parmigiana, and shrimp farfalle. It was fabulous!!! The large pizza is huge!!!! On Monday night you get $5 off a large pizza so we thought we would try it. To die.for!!!! Please try this amazing place!!!
Jen
Excellent dining experience. Food was delicious and Mia our server was on point. We were celebrating Father's day... great atmosphere

Brooklyn Bridge always delivers good service, excellent food, in a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. If you like or want Italian food, you will not be disappointed!

Every time my husband and I go here we are pleased with our entree. The worst thing about this place is the menu is so large that it is hard to choose what you want. The photos below are of the gnocchi di Regina and some salmon that my husband ordered.

Although they've been in business over 37 years, Brooklyn Bridge Italian Restaurant is one of the best kept dining experiences in Memphis!
Rick Johnson
Great italian food and service...with a smile. They take reservations...first class place, Worth it!

Tonight was our first tme dinning at Brooklyn Bridge Italian Restaurant and it will not be our last. Everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana which was served with a house salad and 1 side dish which I ordered linguine. I would highly recommend Brooklyn Bridge Italian Restaurant and am looking forward to our next visit.

Service was slow and uninspired. Salads tasted like they came out of a bag at Kroger. Scallops had no flavor and when Parmesan a shaker of Kraft-like Parmesan came to the table. No fresh grated Parmesan like you get at most Italian restaurants. No ground pepper or salt either. The salt and pepper shakers were so full my wife had to take the tops off and pour in the palm of her hand so she could season her tasteless scallops. The pasta was under cooked on the scallops dish and the lobster in the lobster ravioli was overcooked. Sauce was good however. We were not given but one fork to use for our appetizer, salads, and entrees. Our wine was about all that was good. All in all, we paid WAY too much for such a mediocre meal and dining experience.

Had a wonderful meal the other nite. I had tortellini caroline which was a huge amt. and very delicious. We had chicken marsala, best gravy, prepared perfectly and portion was enough to take some home. We also ordered large pizza to take home for lunch nxt day and it was very good with a thick crust and very large. Have to comment on our server Zack was very attentive, helpful with our selections and most pleasant
The music was great as felt like u were in italy and painting on walls was like u were actually there also. Cant wait to go back, great ambiance..
Wrote several reviews on different sites,my most used is trip advisor, just couldn't say enough about this dining experience! !

I just had the best left overs ever this morning after an absolutely amazing meal last night. Our server Sarah was absolutely perfect and we enjoyed everything about our meal and are so excited we found such a great place. We will be back many many more times thanks so much for a great Friday night!

It was the best Italian food I have ever Had, worth the price. Never had been there so didn't realize you needed a reservation but they pulled a table for us and our waitress was amazing! She was friendly and knowledgeable and took great care of us!
Terry Brumley
Alexandra is absolutely the best server that we have experienced in this hidden jewel of a restaurant.
She is leaving for nursing school on Dec 23rd.
Don't wait until it's to late.
When you reserve your table for the best Italian in Memphis, ask for her to serve you.
You will not be disappointed!!!
Sharon Lepore Lee
Food and service were both great. The only problem we had was "poor signage". The only sign with the restaurant's name was facing the opposite direction that we were driving, and we ended up driving in circles before we finally found it. But that being said, it was definitely worth the efforts and our server Jason was great.

Visiting from Florida for business with large local company. My husband and I had been up since 1:45am, landed in Memphis 8:50 am, had couple meetings, toured a Mississippi storage facility back to town and had dinner with corporate. When they asked what I was interested in it was most definitely... " I need great comfort food, I am very tired "! I must say Brooklyn Bridge was up for the task. Cocktails were perfect and my Lobster Ravioli was amazing. We all had something different and I did sample eggplant & fettuccine . The food, service and atmosphere were right on point. Thank you Brooklyn Bridge for perfect end to a 21 hour day.
Sue Wilkinson
I have been eating at Brooklyn Bridge forever. Have never had a bad meal and always have leftovers for the next day. Yum yum yum!!!!!
Jeff Roberts
Paige was a great server, food was wonderful and it was nice not having to talk over televisions or very loud crowd.
Raymond Black
One of the best Italian restaurants that i have ever eaten at and to think we came 1600 miles to find it :-)
Katarina Lewis
People flock to the internet with bad reviews constantly. It really bugs me!!
So here is the honest truth. It was my 31st birthday yesterday. My husband said "pick any restaurant!!". I was craving Italian and have been extremely disappointed at the Italian restaurants in the Memphis area since I moved here four years ago. Ambiance: sweet and homely. Service: attentive and obliging. Food: AUTHENTIC and it felt like grandma had been working on it all day.
I highly recommend this place. Grade A!
Michael Brasher
The best Italian in town. Locally owned , authentic and reasonably priced.

NJ natives here for over 2 years and just discovered this place. It's now "our place" first authentic italian meal we have had since being here.
Chocolate cannoli?!?! Bada Bing!!!
Sharon Lynn
This is the best Italian food you will ever eat !!!
Karen Miller
Had dinner there for dads birthday. Zach was our server. He was great. Very attentive but not intrusive at all. The food was very good and the prices are fair. The entrees come with a salad and a side.
Courtney Loveless
I've heard great things, but the hostess was very rude. Whichever hostess works on Saturday night, I wouldn't go there at that time. I've heard the food is good though!
Classified
Very disappointed in the meal I just received. Asked for an extra crispy pizza and got a soggy cold pizza in its place. Only live 8 minutes away so there is no excuse. Sad when you get home and have to put your food in the oven after paying $25 dollars for a pizza. Most likely the last time I will order from them.
Jeffbud8
Used to be good years ago. One word. Sysco. Veal patty frozen.
Beverly Mullikin
Not a good experience at all...just ate there tonight around 630 in Saturday..was seated immediately but then asked to move by hostess after we were seated because the table was reserved. It took a while before waiter even came over to take drink orders..not personable at all..received drinks and ordered food...I ordered vodka penne and my guest ordered fett Alfredo...food arrived and I had to send mine back because it was not hot...it was a few minutes and it was returned ad still just warm! Both dishes were so bland we could not put enough salt on them to taste! Waiter did not ask how it was...not a good experience and we won't return...I always tip a minimum of 20%...but this was the first time I did not.. It wasn't waiters fault that food was cold but service was bad!

Average Italian food, way way overpriced

Expected more!. I really looked forward to trying Brooklyn Bridge since I prefer local establishments over chains, but there was nothing remarkable about our visit. At $20+ per entree the side salad was the high point, while the bread was standard store bought italian and the dipping oil had less flavor than tap water. I had the Filleto e Gamberi Fernando which had a fillet comparable to Ponderosa/Ryan's and a pasta sauce that did not compliment the plate at all and was actually very bland. My wife's Pollo di Florentina was tolerable but could have been made at home by my kids. The Tiramisu amounted to a bowl of whipped cream with some breadstick-like pastry at the bottom with absolutely no hint of espresso or any other flavors. The service was average for a low-end establishment, but for the prices there didn't seem to be any emphasis on customer service - although this is widespread problem I've encountered since relocating to Memphis.

I've been visiting the Brooklyn Bridge for years every time I'm in Memphis for business (at least once a month) and this gem of a place has taken a turn for the worse. The food was always hit or miss for me, I learned what and what not to order with help from a friendly staff that recognized and welcomed me as if I were in there every night. Sadly the beloved owner passed away early this year and over my past few visits I have noticed a complete decline in food quality, taste, and staff. I'm afraid to try anything "outside the box" because the new staff seems so unsure and so unconfident in anything I ask about. Service has gotten slow, it's like pulling teeth to get a tea refill and I don't even bother ordering dessert anymore (I waited 30 minutes for a slice of cheese cake (on a slow Tuesday evening)! I respect the new owner trying to take a new direction with the place, but it seems as though he/she is completely missing the originality of the place. It saddens me that this once family owned, tight knit, amazingly staffed place can be taken over and changed so much in such little time. Over all, it's now a flip of the coin for a good meal, but I could have a more lively, intelligent conversation with a brick wall than any server that has taken care of me recently.

"OVER" Disclaimer- I have b.... "OVER"<br/>Disclaimer- I have been in the restraint biz for over 30 years so my expectations might be a little high, but so should yours.<br/>We were greeted and seated politely and quickly. Then we sat for exactly ten and a half minutes. Greeted by Brendan, our server, he was young and seemed well meaning.<br/>He took our drink order and brought us some bread. Cold bread.<br/>We ordered, chicken scallopine ($20) and a medium pizza ($20)<br/>When we ordered, my tea was empty, when we received our food, my tea was still empty (20 minutes later) I asked the person who ran our food for some tea (the pitcher was 6 feet away) he said he would get my server. 5 minutes later server came to check on us still no tea, but he did refill once I asked him directly.<br/>My pizza was above average, nothing I could not have gotten from half a dozen other places for half to two-thirds the price. The chicken scallopine however was terrible. First, the chicken was tough and over cooked. It was just two breasts, not pounded out or anything. Actually could not cut it with the knife provided, basically used the forks to tear it apart. The sauce tasted like lemon juice, nothing like a buerre blanc.<br/>Didn't see the waiter for 20 minutes, I was ready to get the hell out of there I had to go to the bar and ask the bartender to get our waiter and the check. I bought a bottle of water and a pint of Blue Bell from the gas station across the parking lot and received the best service and food of the night there. <br/>We will most definitely not be back.<br/>The worst part, for me, was that nobody asked me "How was everything?", because I really wanted to tell them.

Will Return. We don't usually go out for Italian because it always seems so expensive for the portion you get. But on a recent quest and craving for some good Italian, we set out to explore. As to not mention other restaurants we went to, all we can say is Brooklyn Bridge was the best. We were greeted promptly, seated immediatly (Sat. eve. @ 6:45) and served with drinks and apps. in a timely manner. The entrees were more than any of us could eat and we all went home with leftovers. I was impressed with everything overall and will definitly return.

Good traditional italian. As a lifelong Memphian, we finally had the opportunity to try the place. As some people have said regarding the service, we had a good server who was very attentive. The front of the house needs work. When we walked in there were several people I assumed were hostesses who just kind of stare at you when you walk in. The same applies when you leave and do not expect a "thanks please come back" from the staff. That being said the food was good but is on the pricey side. Being a Friday night, they were not very busy and found it amusing that the menu stated the reservations were recommended. That must have been a policy from 25 years ago which matches the decor that has not seen a update in at least that long. Chef Robert Irvine from Restaraunt Impossible would have a field day in there. If you like traditional italian then this is a good place to go.

Good for a laugh. Friendly, well intended wait staff, but untrained.<br/>salad I ordered was about as well presented as something you would order out of a vending machine and the "house specialty" goat's cheese vinaigrette was terrible.<br/>pasta is very nice, well varied and well prepared.<br/>And now for the laugh. Just order the tiramisu...OMG. Are they serious? a previous reviewer stated this place would never last in brooklyn, well it could never last in another major urban center out of the south.

Best Italian Food in Memphis. I've been eating at this establishment since it first opened, never disappointed with the food. Food is always good, with plently of chices and good atmosphere

Had a Christmas party at the Bridge with 32 people and it was great. The food and service was perfect.

How do you say "value" in Italian. I travel for business half my life and eat at a lot of restaurants.<br/>I find many Italian restaurants put on a show with a contrived atmosphere only to serve mediocre food for a high price.<br/>This is NOT the case at Brooklyn Bridge.<br/>This cozy place is just off Poplar in East Memphis and features a genuinly warm enviroment that only a family run establishment can offer.<br/>The best part is their chef creates original cuisine that actually takes me to wonderful places!<br/>They make eating out a real pleasure I anticipate when I go to Memphis.<br/>Moderate pricing makes Brooklyn Bridge an incredible value.
Marcie
Rude. Middle aged Hostess manning front desk is rude. Never had the chance to sample food because we left promptly after dealing with her. She did not care to have our business. We ate at a lovely place just down the street on Poplar instead.

I expected better for price. Atmosphere is nice with the exception of the travel agency posters and the cheesy wall mural of the NYC skyline which drags the decor down a notch or two. For the $20-30 entre price range, I expected the bartenders and wait staff to be dressed up - not wearing t-shirts. The tables had vinyl table cloths - again for the price range I was expecting nice white tablecloths. The food was not bad, although the veal picatta breeding was a bit mushy and the spinach lasagna didn't taste freshly made. This is one of the few Italian restaurants in Memphis that will serve bread with your meal. The salads were good. The service was ok - a little more attention to detail would have made it better. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Carrabas is probably going to be a better value and experience.

Fantastic! Great atmosphere and food! The Tiramisu is out of this world!! We'll be back!

Homestyle Italian. We occasionally travel from the MS Gulf Coast to St Louis. On the last trip, 23JUL11, we decided to break up the return leg by overnighting in Memphis. Looking for something slightly different we found the Brooklyn Bridge Italian Restaurant. It was absolutely wonderful. Excellent food for reasonable prices and service with a smile! The fact that it was family owned and operated provided perfect ambiance for a great meal. We were there on a Saturday night. The place was busy and still we waited for nothing. The Tiramisu was otherworldly! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I personally can't wait to return to St. Louis so I can stop in Memphis for another visit to the Brooklyn Bridge Italian Restaurant.

Home Goodness. Thanks B.B! I am born and raise NYC and every time I visit you I get a little piece of home. You are the only authentic Italian in Memphis.<br/>Awesome atmosphere and love the family!<br/>The food is the best. And so are you.

Rip-off. After a tough week, I wanted to take the wife out for a nice dinner. We got a sitter and headed off syked about our night out. What we got was screwed. My salmon was a failed attempt at nouvo cuisine. Oh it was small...just nothing special with a single flouret of broccoli. My wife ordered a medium pizza, thinking the kids might like the left overs. $100. We felt dirty leaving that place. I had visions of throwing people off the Brooklyn Bridge, thus the name, I guess. Che vergogno. (What an embarrasment)

Amazing. I eat there often enough. I really enjoy the quality servers. Lindsey is by far my favorite server. But all the servers are happy and good quality. The food is excellent. I like the tortellini in pesto cream sauce. I also like their spinach pizza, spinach artichoke dip, and anything with Alfredo sauce here. I really like the charming ambience. The lighting is very apropos for the size and decor of this place. <br/>What I'm about to tell you is a secret that only Brooklyn Bridge fans will truly understand: Order dessert. No seriously...order it.<br/>The Tiramisu is the BEST I've ever had in my life. The Cannoli, Caramel pie and any cheesecake they have are amazing. ( The Caramel pie has chocolate cookie crust, by the way) One of my standards for judging a restaurant is their dessert. If a place has good dessert, it is a place I will frequent. The dessert here is amazing. <br/>Great food. Wonderful service. Great atmosphere. Incredible desserts. What is not to like?

Real Italians...Real Italian Food.... The food and the people are fantastic. We bring family and friends here from all over the country. One New Jersy born freind,Vito, loved it.. The food is varied, fresh and seasoned in the old tradtion .It rivals what I have had in other parts of the country.Includoing Chicago and Atlanta. My wife is Italian and a great cook.It is her favorite place to eat. Enough said. Try the chicken marsala or veal parm. Then finish with the carmel pie.Off the hook good.

Nice for Italian. The spouse and I are not Italian food aficianados, but after looking at the fast food One and Only BBQ storefront we opted for the full service Brooklyn Bridge. It wasn't the BBQ I was in the mood for, but the Greek salad was nice and the spouse had some Spaghetti Pomodoro. We probably won't be back, but it's more our taste than the food.
Lee
Love it! Great food & location. Will come back here again!

Simple, Good food. Good service and good food, you can't ask for much more. The beef medalions with creamed spinach as a side is great. <br/><br/>The atmosphere is great, it really feels like a place where you can sit and talk after dinner without feeling rushed. I've been going here for 10+ years and have good service each time I go.
Sarah
Hidden away. I have worked around the corner from this place for almost 5 years and had never been there til last night. the salad was good and so were the spinach manicotti and meatball. i ordered the pasta combo so i could sample a few of the specialties...it was all good.
Elizabeth
A great family owned Italian Restaurant. I like this restaurant much better than the large chain style ones. You can tell the owners really care and put a lot of their soul's into this place. The pasta dishes are always wonderful. I would recommend the Lobster Ravioli and a must is the caramel "puff" dessert it's so delicious with whip cream, chocolate and caramel.

Wouldn't last in BROOKLYN. No wonder they ran to Memphis with this brand of<br/>Italian food-<br/><br/>Nothing special but they pull the wool over the eyes of bbq-eating Memphians quite nicely<br/><br/>No NY-er would eat this stuff !

Great resturant. Wonderful environment, all of their employees are the best. We love this resturant.

My Mom works sometimes for a jewelry store, Robert Irwin Jewelers and one of the guys who works there just loves Brooklyn Bridge. He told my Mom it is the best NY style pizza in Memphis. Well, with all the pizza wars in our house we just had to try it! My Mom, the NYer, does love it. The place is an old time Italian restuarant with nice food, good service and alot of those extras that many restaurants are leaving behind, They give you bread with Olive oil and spices to start. There are table clothes and it is just kind of fancy even though the prices are not too high. Monday is Pizza special night and that makes going a real treat. Anytime Pizza has a discount it is a good night. We usually splurge and get toasted raviali and they are really tasty. I like the meat. Dad likes the cheese so it works out just fine. The Pizza has a medium crust and is just floppy enough to be NY style. The sauce is savory and the cheese is generously sprinkled and melty. It is good stuff. We can all agr

I enjoy Brooklyn Bridge. It's a good Italian restaurant in Memphis. Try it! I recommend ordering sides and tasting a lot!

I have loved this restaurant since I was in high school. When my brother turned 16, he requested a Brooklyn Bridge cheesecake as his birthday dessert.
