Review Staks Pancake Kitchen - Memphis

Chopped Cupcakes
There was a bit of a line when we got there but I am so glad that we decided to wait because it was definitely worth the wait. The burrito was good and filling. The fruit was fresh, sweet and crisp. The Gouda grits have a bit of a coarse texture but tastes absolutely amazing! The lemon ricotta pancakes were one of a kind- the blueberry, lemon and ricotta marry well together and it just works so well! The staff is pleasant and very efficient. I highly recommend if y’all are in Memphis stop in here and you have to make sure to try the pancakes! They are so sweet and moist! I was so pleased with the entire experience here.

For the last 4 years this has always been a must stop place for breakfast for us. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Pictured here is the breakfast croissant. Get the Gouda grits as your side for sure it's delicious! Oh definitely get a coffee! Lattes are wonderful!

My gf and I ate here for the very first time today and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We came in toward the end of the day (1:15p/1:30p) yet were still greeted courteously and attended promptly. The food was also hot and delicious, and each person who helped us was hospitable and friendly. Great portion sizes with reasonable pricing are definitely a 👍🏾👍🏾 as well! We'll be back!

The food was amazing! We had to get to-go containers! We didn't have to wait long for our table. My husband got the breakfast burger, and I had the breakfast croissant! We had the eggrolls for our appetizers. My husband ordered us hot honey lattes, which were really good! The service while we ate was good! They kept checking on us, but after we wanted some extra sauce and had to wait quite a while! They seemed like they needed an extra cashier to help with the line! We will be returning the food was so good! If it's real crowded, we will probably order to go!

The candied bacon is amazing! The food is good but a bit on the pricey side. The staks are definitely generous in portions, but some of the other dishes are not as well portioned and adding sides and coffee can turn your meal a pricey affair...

The food was really nice and the place is a cute little atmosphere. The wait was supposed to be 30 mins but it was more like an hour. We had a party of 11 and was accommodated very nicely on a Saturday for brunch. Definitely will attend again.

So so so good! Chicken biscuit was phenomenal and got a side of strawberry shortcake pancakes that were to die for. Chicken and pancakes along with fried eggs was ordered by my boyfriend. We had a great brunch here. The staff is so welcoming and friendly, they answered my questions and had great recommendations. Love the atmosphere here as well

Shanti, was such a pleasure… she is very nice. We are from Florida and she helped us pick out our food. Great spot!!!!

The pancakes were good, but very sweet which was to be expected. I tried the cinnamon roll stak which was honestly enough food for 2-3 adults. The coffee was good but be prepared to pay a premium for the specialty coffee drinks. Lastly, be prepared to wait for a table especially on a weekend.

I really had a great experience here. The food was fabulous. My daughter got scrambled eggs with cheese, pancakes and bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly and the portions were generous. I got a build your own omelet with pancakes. The omelet was stuffed with ingredients. Every bite was loaded. The pancakes were light and fluffy. I also got a cinnamon roll because they looked so yummy and it was. The service was awesome. The restaurant has a cute retro feel. I will definitely be returning.

I’m not a fan of the concept, however the food was very good. The “cook yourself” pancakes was interesting. One of the griddles was not working so a couple of our party had to shuffle around to use another griddle...stuff happens. I was invited here and was unfamiliar with the procedure of ordering and taking all of our drinks and coffees to the table, but the staff was patient and very friendly. We sat by the open kitchen and were witness to some tense exchange between the kitchen staff and the servers but it wasn’t unbearable. I probably won’t return simply because I don’t like the restaurant concept as a whole... but the food and staff are amazing.

The service was ok and that’s where it stopped today. We have been to Staks a few times and have been happy with the food despite the order and tip before you sit down (which I don’t like). Today it seemed like the food was more expensive than usual. 2 coffees, split an entree and two kids meals ended up being $40! When the food came, bacon was cold, kids fruit was soggy and mainly melon (please tell me if there’s a child that eats melon) pancake was bland and almost gross. Our burrito was soggy. The Gouda grits were bland—something that had brought us back to this restaurant several times. And the greatest offense of the meal was the butter undrinkable coffee. I’m writing all of this in the drive thru line at Starbucks write after leaving Staks. We won’t be back.

If you have any food allergies do NOT go here unless you are willing to take some risks or just be happy with mid-grade bacon and eggs...They broke one of the sunny side eggs so only two out of the 3 eggs were actually sunny side...They have gluten free pancakes but they are buckwheat only and the ONLY gluten free item on the menu aside from any naturally gluten free items...I was surprised they couldn't make dairy free pancakes, no gluten free french toast..It is scary eating out when you don't have a choice. While you are traveingl for work you have no choice but to eat outside your own kitchen...One employee seemed like we were bothering them by asking about menu items and what they were made out of...not a very exciting attitude to encounter when you need to eat and they seem to not care at all about how sick one mistake or disregard on their part can make you...Only go here if you are desperate or have no choice...My omelette was overcooked and they were very stingy with the ham too....Not to mention the side of bacon was 3 of the tiniest pieces of bacon we have ever seen...

We were in town for a baseball tournament for three days. We ate at Staks 2 of those 3 days. We actually tried to eat there the third day before heading home, but the wait was too long. This place is awesome. The food was delicious. The service was great. We had a group of 8 people both days. Everybody's food was excellent. The place is super clean. The staff was friendly.

Very clean and friendly staff. Food was great and looked amazing! Drinks were good. It was more of a brunch for us because they close at 2pm, but I was definitely happy that they stayed open a little later. I definitely recommend this place!

I think that's it time for stacks to look for location number 2..I never have I had an issue my food is always good and I can never finish my chicken biscuit...It is a small place but new location or location #2 is most def needed

The food is great. It is a tad bit over priced. The wait time is terrible but the have a great texting service that allows you to wait in your car. The major con for this place is that you order and pay before you are seated to receive your food. You also tip up front. You won't have an assigned server but will have employees who float around the room. I wonder, who did I tip? All that being said, the pancakes are amazing. The omelettes are good but they don't offer American cheese.

Saturday Morning was our first time going and it was not a good experience at all.... The staff was friendly... I'll give them that... The wait to call us was short. We got in ordered I'll food hubby and I along with a friend. She received 2 poorly cooked pancakes, all 4 pieces of her bacon was burnt, and the grits were stiff as ever... She ate what she could eat... Mind you hubby and I still waiting while watching her eat and complain... We waited 30 minutes still no food or nothing.. Hubby went to let the lady know, they apologized, and we asked for our money back.... And they are a bit pricey for what you receive. No combo meals. Everything is separate. I was so angry so I'm not sure if we'll ever go back.

Ordered and paid for my food 20 mins prior to my arrival. Once i arrived, the young lady at the register didn't know how check for online orders. The ladies in the restaurant were really nice. Don't know how many men worked in there, but one man in particular, showed no hospitality what so ever. He waled pass my table a couple of time showing concern for everyone in building, but me. The only thing he said to me was "are you done with your plate" picked it up and went to the back. Once me food arrived, everything was good but the biscuit. Biscuit was hard and over baked. I loved the chicken sausage. 1st time ever trying it. For the prices and atmosphere, a bit more hospitality would make up for the over baked biscuit.

The cinnamon roll pancakes are the best thing I have ever eaten in my life. The coffee was delicious! The breakfast burrito was amazing. The biscuits and gravy are a must try. LITERALLY EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! Completely worth the 1 hour wait. I will come back to Memphis and it will be solely to eat here.

The "way it's done" was a little crazy and seemed unorganized. Having to check in and then when a table is ready you order at the window and then go sit. This system is hard if you have multiple little ones. With that being said...the food and service were superb and almost worth the cluster at the beginning of the experience.

Shitty management and shitty restaurant they need to invest more in people and on waiting timeline and organizing guests, never coming back here for sure , plus they don’t get to pick and match who go first and go last this was one of the worse dining experience for sure
