Review Ruth's Chris Steak House - Memphis

Raymond and Cory were great. Fast service and staff kept us updated on our food. I had the fried calamari, lamb chops, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. This was my first experience and I enjoyed it to the fullest‼️

Our first time eating at this restaurant. The food was excellent best filet I have ever eaten. Nicole our server was wonderful. The manager Tony came to our table twice to make sure everything was good and he was so nice and hilarious. Can't really say enough about how good the food and service was

It was my first time here and my boyfriends second time. Great food and relaxing atmosphere. Our waiter Ray was great and so on top of it! We can’t wait to go back ! ☺️

The filet is so tender you can cut it with a butter knife! You won't miss the steak knife. So good I forgot to take a picture. Did include a shot of the dessert. The staff was excellent. A perfect dining experience. Well worth it!

My husband and I ate here for our Anniversary and when I say everything was PHENOMENAL, I truly mean it. From the moment we entered the restaurant, it felt so welcoming! Our table was decorated with a happy anniversary card, our server Raymon was spectacular in every way, the food was absolutely delicious, we got a free dessert and left with full bellies, full hearts and a picture of us in an envelope for their book! It was seriously one of the best experiences we have had and we WILL be back!

Finally had the chance to visit during happy hour! Everything was delicious. I had the goat cheese and artichoke dip and the steak sandwich that was served with the best home cut fries! I will definitely be returning.

I had a great experience and made some good memories. This place has the best steak ever! Money well spent! Mr. Rayman our server tied it all together! Hailey was sweet!

10/16/23: Celebrated birthday at Ruth's Chris. FABULOUS! Our waitress Heather was WONDERFUL. The food was scrumptious well worth the splurge. The sweet potato casserole was Delicious! I am mentioning it specifically because it is the only dish that I had not had before this visit. It didn't taste like it was unthawed and served. It tasted homemade by a, 'real cook!' My family member and I throughly enjoyed ourselves. Ruth's Chris is most definitely worth it. I love the food and atmosphere and can hardly wait until I visit again. Today I visited Ruth Chris for the first time for a work group gathering during Happy Hour. I have known of the restaurant for a while and always wanted and planned to visit. The restaurant has a very cozy romantic ambience that I love, though the lights could be turned up just a bit, I had to use the flashlight on my cellphone to read the menu. The bar area can stand to be a bit larger, but that will not hinder my returning because I am not a drinker we only sat there because of going during Happy Hour. Our group couldn't be seated at a table together, the only table there only seats five, so instead of sitting in groups of four in the booths, which is how we started, we all sat at the bar and socialized and enjoyed one another's company. Jada, who is very efficient and attentive, was my first server, but Rachel took my order. There was another sever, whose name I do not recall was efficient and attentive as well. The appetizer I wanted is normally prepared fried, but I wanted it grilled, which Rachel didn't know if that adjustment could be made, she said she would ask, went back into the kitchen and out comes Marcus who asked me about what I wanted, said the appetizer could be adjusted, did it and came back out to ask if the dish was to my liking and it was. I will definitely be returning, not on the bar side, but in the main seating area. If I could give ten stars I would. Ruth Chris you just acquired a new customer.

Our meal was great and so was our service! Olivia was very knowledgeable about the menu, gave us great suggestions, and was very attentive to our table while also having multiple other tables to tend to as well! She was great and definitely made our experience better. I got the filet and shrimp special and my boyfriend got the filet and they were both cooked exactly how we wanted. Definitely a great meal to celebrate our anniversary!

We had the most amazing server, Sonia. I will definitely be requesting her next time we go. The food was amazing, as always.

Our waitress Jada was so amazing. It was my husband first time and she made it a great experience. Definitely will be back. The food was so so good. Stuff chicken just melt in your mouth. The lemon drop was delicious

Cory was an excellent server! He made wonderful suggestions and made sure every detail was handled. My husband and I will definitely ask for him when we return 🙏🏾

Raymon was absolutely amazing with his service and suggestions. He helped us to pair the perfect wine with our meal and answered all questions we had. We will definitely be returning and hope to have him as our server again

An excellent dinner! Sonia is a wonderful waitress and gave us attentive, cheerful service throughout the evening. The manager also came to check on us once. The stuffed chicken breast and desserts are delicious. I gave the food 4 stars only because I thought the sides weren't quite the same caliber.

Nicole has a pleasant personality and is very personable. We are going to ask for her in the future and recommend her to anyone and everyone.

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. The atmosphere is great. The filet was an exceptional cut and cooked PERFECTLY! Raymon was our server and he is OUTSTANDING! Ask for Raymon and order the filet. He even brought us a complimentary cheesecake. THANK YOU RAYMON.

The wait staff was simply amazing from the young man who brought our water to the waiter who boxed our take home food. Our server was friendly and informative and provided guidance for our steak selections. She was kind and gracious about our anniversary and took our picture. The manager came to our table and offered us a champagne toast. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and our dinner was superb.

They have a great selection of food. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal🥰The service was great

My wife and I had a wonderful Anniversary celebration. Everyone with Ruth's Chris wished us a Happy Anniversary as we were led to a table covered with rose petals, and a thoughtful Anniversary card. Sloan and Zach made the evening perfect with impeccable service. Every request was answered with an "Of course!" The manager, Nathan, did a quick quality check when there was a small preference issue (not even a complaint). The filets were perfect and the bread pudding was unbelievable. We were able to enjoy our evening together, without a single concern about dinner. I highly recommend them, and recommend that you ask for Sloan.

I love the romantic atmosphere, the service is top-notch, and the food.. (Let me get my breath)...the ribeye steak, the porterhouse steak, tender & juicy. Beautiful taste. Top everything off was the lobster tails. Hmmm. Hmmm. Hmmm. Love this place. My wife loves it even more!

Being from New Orleans makes one’s expectation somewhat higher (4-5 Star) in some cases especially fine dining. I was shocked to see so many people so casually dressed even in sneakers. My wait was not very long but I was not greeted as personally as I have been before while dining at Ruth’s Chris SH. The waitress was very nice but not as attentive. She was a bit to quick and asked questions but didn’t seem concerned about our response. She forgot to bring a second serving of bread as requested to nearly after the meal. The busboy was very drab and unfriendly, he never smiled and actually seemed very sad, distant and monotoned. My blueberry mojito was far too strong and tart. I waited a very long time for my waitress to return before I asked for a serving of simple syrup as I attempted to mellow out my extremely tart cocktail. Also my crab cakes were very dry and burnt underneath. I made the best of it and tried to enjoy as I anticipated my butterflied, medium cooked petite 8 ounce filet and potatoes au gratin. Of course one should never be in a rush awaiting a steak at Ruth’s. So I waitied patiently trying to enjoy my doctored mojito...finally the sizzling plates arrived at the table, very impressively especially hearing that sound of heat emitting from the broiler fired plate. My waitress served the plates with caution of the extreme temperature and left while asking if my party and I needed anything else, as we surveyed the table, she had already gotten out of our sight and did not mention the additional bread and whipped butter we previously requested. As I began to position my hot plate with my napkin I realized that I did not have a steak knife. I waitied several minutes to catch a glimpse of my waitress or busboy to no avail and the sizzle of my plate began to fade...I then made eye contact with another busboy who immediately noticed that I was in need of something and asked if he could help me. I asked him for a steak knife and he apologized and grabbed one from an unoccupied table. There were a couple other small things that slightly bothered me such as not having blueberry cheesecake but I settled for the white chocolate bread pudding which I ordered “to go” and lastly which I forgot to mention I was seated near a very cold window as it was about 34° In Memphis last night but I did not want to wait to be seated in a warmer spot; just felt the host staff should have known about the drafty area or at least advised me of it. I must say, it is very difficult to mess up an evening at Ruth’s especially if you are blessed to go. The food overall was still great in spite of the service and other issues but it’s not fitting to rate my experience as “good” when in fact it was not good. It was “fair” but fair does not or should never correlate to a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse experience. The restaurant’s soft candlelight gave the atmosphere a great ambience. The stuffed chicken lobster with macaroni and cheese, sword fish, steak and the other entrees were all great dishes. We had a wonder time celebrating our son/grandson 23rd Birthday! Our waiter was awesome along with a friendly staff. We had a great time!

Anniversary night with the wife. First time we have been here. Ordered the 40 ounce steak (124.00) which was pretty good but had to pay for sides which didn’t come with the steak as part of the meal. Atmosphere was wonderful and staff was Johnny on the spot with everything. At home where I live you get a salad, baked potato or mashed potatoes as part of the meal and won’t have to spend that much money for a steak and it’s also fresh grown in its backyard in the stockyards.

The steaks are cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. The mushroom couscous with peas and Parmesan shavings on top is heavenly. Not to be outdone, the desserts we had (white chocolate bread pudding and creme brulee) were succulent and the perfect finish to an incredible meal. The wait staff is very attentive and make you feel like special dignitaries to the restaurant. For our anniversary they put rose petals on the table with a hand written card. Yes, it's expensive, but you won't ever have a dining experience like this!

For my first time dining there I had a great experience. My server was very kind and attentive . My food was great as expected and they decorated my table for my birthday and even gave me a birthday card. I thought the manager was friendly and made an effort to greet every guest . The bartender is cool as well , my drink wasn’t watered down:) .. I’ll be back soon for happy hour lol..

It was my birthday my husband and I just moved here so he got off work and brought me there, when we got there the staff informed my hubby that his attire was not the dress code and they were very sweet and helpful they offered to get us in at two other restaurants where the dress code was more relaxed. I insisted there because I love Ruth Chris so hubby ran to target to change and we came back the entire staff greeted us that they were glad we came back they made my birthday very special!!!

I hadn’t been in a while and I really loved the menu, food and service. The seafood tower was a fantastic treat and fun. Will be returning.

Celebrated my Aunt's bday and my mom's being cancer free. Everytime I go James is our server and he's always on point

First time there i was totally impress staff was very polite an professional the food was absoulety Exquisite very Romantic tables I really enjoyed everything they took very good care of me until I went home for the evening...i will return soon.

Everything was very nice the service and food was wonderful. It was very personal maybe because it was my birthday,but every server wished me happy birthday.
