Che Chicken

We had a nice dinner here. You order and pay at the counter which is a little annoying if you want to have a few drinks and then a bite. But I think this place was geared more to takeaways it is quite spacious though and there is seating outside too. The beer selection is Estrella and Quellmes which are both good. An Argentine Malbec and a Pinot Gris are on offer. The empanadas are very nice as is the iceberg lettuce salad we had. We also shared a half chicken and chips with chimichurri. Everything was pretty well cooked and tasty. Not quite top notch, not the corner chicken shop, but somewhere in between. 3.1/2 can't seem to do a half star.

Smoked chicken empanada was a bit flavourless couldn't taste any smoky flavour. Cheese and corn empanada was amazing. Finally had the chicken roll which was super dry. The chicken thighs were slighly overcooked, but it was the bread roll that really let it down. It was sucking all the moisture out of my mouth. I smothered the insides with chimichurri which helped a little. Please either switch up your bread roll to something less dry, the roll could be great. Service was nice. Great local spot .Will be back, think we just got unlucky with our choices .

It's ok. Corn and cheese empanada was nice with spicy mayo, but I was given the wrong drink (lemon lime and bitters when I ordered lemonade) and ordered what I wanted at the counter and my boyfriend ordered what he wanted, but our food came out on the same plate. I'm vegetarian so it was a little annoying. $2 extra for chicken salt seems excessive. Boyfriend said chicken was alright but nothing special.
