Great Malaysian food in the city. Their char kway teow is one of those that have plenty of wok hay and tastes delicious. Authentic malaysian drinks like pearl barley water and teh tarik are also avaible though I wish them to be a little less sweet. Will come back again.

HOME DELIVERY REVIEW - GOOD QUALITY MALAYSIAN CUISINE Sambal Kampung is a popular restaurant (actually two outlets one in the suburbs and this one in the city) that serves authentic SE Asian favourites. Home delivery is never quite the same as the in-restaurant experience but Sambal Kampung does a good job of packaging up the meal. As I am not far from the restaurant, the meal arrived quickly and hot. We wanted a vegetarian dinner and had a number of choices. We went with kangkung (green vegetable), beancurd vegetable dish, "mapo doufu without the pork" and veg fried rice... oh and a not quite so vegetarian chicken and corn soup. The dishes were all quite acceptable.. except for the soup which was bland and gluggy.

hands down the best value Malaysian place in the CBD! (especially for dinner) generous portion sizes, tastes as good and cheaper than their fancier competition can recommend the Bak Kut Teh, Laksa, Nasi Goreng, Chicken Rice and Singapore Fried Noodles they are all solid

Came here on a Thursday night. Very relaxed atmosphere . Had veggie laksa, roti and a glass of wine. Definitely too much food for 1 person but it looked so good I had to try laksa was spicy and yummy and the tofu was fried perfectly. The roti was light and flakey. Couldn’t ask for more when travelling for business and want a quick mello not overpriced meal.

The Lobak was a highlight, spicy Nasi Goreng was decently flavoured but had hardly enough meat in it. On the flip side the Laksa had enough meat but was slightly lacking in flavour, while the Nasi Lemak with curry chicken was just serviceable. Quick service during lunch, can't ask much more for the price.

Good food, fast service and congested seating. Overall a good experience. If you go a little before 12 noon, it's very likely that you would be able to choose the table.

Awesome taste in decent price. Too bad the shop is not visible from main street. Been here twice, only because I stumbled upon it; it is in a tiny lane somewhere in CBD. Staff is friendly and patient too, especially during the crazy lunch time rush. Enjoyed the Malaysian chicken curry there

Pretty decent Asian food but found the fried flat noodles (fried way teow) rather bland and lacking the authentic charcoal taste. The coffee was seriously overpowered with condensed milk. It'll definitely give you the needed sugar rush and the unwanted diabetes too
