A lovely cafe with weekly specials! The weekly seafood pasta special was the highlight - a very interesting tomato-based sauce but quite creamy at the same time and also a good kick of chilli. Such huge generous prawns too! The calamari salad was nice too. Their iced mocha is also super yum!

Hidden inside Victoria University Arcade, you'll find a cosy and spacious cafe serving up delicious meals and amazing coffee. Choose from the weekly pasta special (we had the chilli crab linguine), or something healthy yet substantial like the Falafel Bowl. Flavourful and well-executed, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The Seafood Tacos is also a must try - soft shell crab, prawns or fish, all boasting a tangy and bright flavour that will tantalise your taste buds. We thoroughly enjoyed our coffees too. Do give them a visit when you're in the area, such a hidden gem.

A little hidden gem tucked away inside of a University.
I really enjoyed their pesto pasta and chicken burger. They also serve great coffee and I love that they’re very spacious, so there’s lots of room to dine in.

Coffee grinds on coffee and bitter taste. Almond croissant was semi frozen in the middle and no toilet. Nice decor

8 Ounce cafe is located in University arcade, just a hop, skip, jump away from Flinders St station to the perfect place to grab brekkie, brunch or just a quick coffee.
My hubby ordered the classic Eggs benny with poached eggs served on brioche, hollandaise with ham. He said it was delicious & cooked to perfection.
I ordered the 8 Ounce Brekkie combo, with House Granola w/milk, a light serve of Orange juice, smashed Avo with Danish feta on sour dough, and a poached egg, it was amazing!
This cafe is very spacious, with a cosy atmosphere and friendly service.

It's a good cafe and restaurant serves wonderful espresso, and lunch starts in the morning 7am and works up to evening 8pm. It inside Victoria university building. Works only from Monday to Friday.

Fantastic, Great coffee and fresh and tasty food (I recommend the calamari salad for lunch). Great spot as accessible, (right near flinders and elizabeth) but it is a bit hidden in the Victoria University arcade-- so nice and quiet at the same time. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff who always have a smile.

Really nice, affordable food plus the staff are very friendly and attentive. I'm sure covid has harmed their business, hope they survive.
If looking for a decent sandwich at lunch, look no further and support a small local business while you're at it.
