The food was all right; ordered a lamb biryani which was decently priced and the quantity was good. Some pices of meat were a bit harder probably due to over-frying but the meal was overall nice. It was quite late at night so I won't gripe much about the place, although it could do with a little makeover. The man and the lady were courteous and friendly. Also, the raita was tasty! It's nice to have some North Indian food available in the city.

I am an international student from India and I wanted to have Indian food near Melbourne CBD. And I found this amazing restaurant near Queens Victoria Market. The ambience is fantastic, you will feel at home listening to Bollywood songs. I ordered Veg Thali the first time I visited this place and it was super delicious with 3 curries and butter naan with rice and it was truly give me a taste of typical Indian cuisine. The best part of this place is that they have a variety of menus as compared to other restaurants in the CBD area from Badaloo, Biryani, Thali and more Mango Lassi is a must with any dish you order I recommend it to everyone who is a new goer or a fan of Indian cuisine Foodies go there and enjoy the various menus

Friendly service and great food. Single pack is good value - $20 for a curry, rice, samosa, papadam and soft drink. The samosa was the surprise stand out, probably the best I've had in Melbourne. Shop front has some real old school charm to it too

So, so, so good!! I've been getting delivery from here for about 5-ish years now, and they're genuinely just the best curry place in Melbourne. So reliable, not too long delivery time, and the food. Oh my god the food. Genuinely the best butter chicken I've ever had - any other butter chicken simply doesn't do it for me anymore. I don't know what they put in that stuff that makes it so incredible, but they could be putting in liquid gold for all I care. Such great prices too.

Freshly prepared tasty food felt same as home cooked. Price is also good. Staff are very nice too. Only thing is portion could be bit larger.

My word. That was an awesome lamb curry. Excellent blend of flavours, not just spicy heat. Good amount of meat cooked perfectly at a reasonable price. Sides are nice too.

My partner and I have eaten here numerous times and never been disappointed. Sadly the attitude of the husband (owner) seems to be a ‘we’re never wrong, must be the customer’ attitude, after receiving a family pack which cost $48 delivered. The mild butter chicken was extra spicy and the Raita absolutely stunk like off milk and contained no cucumber. When I rang the restaurant to notify them, the husband said he’d check the butter chicken (after hearing severe coughing) claims it was the change of supplier. Told to order extra extra mild next time. As for the Raita, it absolutely reeked like off milk. And tasted like it too. After being hung up on I called back n was told just say next time and they’ll give us a free meal. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 No thanks. Strongly would not recommend. Just the attitude from them is bad enough, but the food has drastically changed. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

No better place in Melbourne City than Classic Curry for authentic Indian food. Absolutely worth the money and top notch food. The Panner Curry and Butter Naan are the best and highly recommended! Also a very clean place and very well maintained in terms of hygiene and cleanliness!
