The Albert Park Hotel

Pub that serves Chinese style dishes as part of their menu. There are some cuts of the Peking duck that felt like roast duck due to its thickness but flavour wise not bad. Fried chicken had some soft coating and wasn't spicy. Prawn Toast was great. The dishes tasted pretty mild but the place looks great and service is awesome. Food - 6 Service - 8 Vibe - 9 Price - $$$

I was soo looking forward eating here but left very disappointed. Firstly we booked this several weeks before hand and when we turned up we were told they had a limited menu, that really upset us as many of the dishes we wanted were unavailable. They should have contacted us! Then the service was soo bad, after entrees we had Peking duck and they didn’t clear the plates, no one asked us for a 2nd glass of wine and when it came to the bill it seemed they didn’t want our money, no one wanted to give it to us. There was soo much staff on hand but they just seem to miss the basics. The food was okay… you are paying a premium and I expected a lot better especially with the service. You can’t be charging those prices dishing horrible service I will not be returning

Happy Valley @ The Albert Park Hotel is BRILLIANT! Outstanding food, all the Chinese classics you love to see on a menu are there to enjoy. Every dish we have ordered has been faultless. The hotel itself has a beautifully calming ambience even when its busy. The service team are friendly and attentive. In particular, John is always welcoming and is an absolute asset to the venue. His menu suggestions are spot on and he makes us feel like Happy Valley is our second home. We recently moved to the area and due to its pure excellence we now eat here at least 3 times a week. YES IT IS THAT GOOD!

Great quality food, great service (for the most part). I come here once a week and I always enjoy my meal. The service is mostly excellent. On the odd occasion it can be a challenge to get someone's attention, but it's usually excellent. The one thing I love about this place - the quality of ingredients, especially the meat. I love dumplings, but I usually dislike the quality of meat typically found in dumplings (like dim sums).

Great interior and fantastic atmosphere. The rest of our experience was unfortunately disappointing. The waitstaff seem confused, didn’t know which table had ordered what. Our food arrived cold. We had to ask 3 different staff members for plates and chopsticks. We eventually received a fork. The food is average at best for the price, with quality and serving size both underwhelming. Great place for a drink, but if you want better quality Chinese food with better value for money best to eat elsewhere.
