Stayed at the Paramount Serviced Apartments for my mother in law’s birthday. The two bedroom apartment was going for special on Agoda so we decided to book it. The apartment was for four adults and one child. The positives outweighed the negatives. Positives Staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. The apartment was very spacious even for four adults and a child Both bedrooms were also very spacious. Bed in master bedroom was comfortable. Noise in the 12th storey apartment was at a minimal - Could barely hear street traffic Bedrooms had roller blinds to make it nice and dark. Kitchen had all the necessary utensils Washing machine and dryer were provided (as expected in serviced apartments) Excellent location Parking facilities available on site at a fee and allows for multiple entry/exit during the period of stay. Exit at 11am on check out day. Good view from our apartment. Views of Parliament House and St Pats Cathedral. Sunrise also nice from that apartment Negatives Room was dated. Found some toe nail clippings on the floor in the living room. Lift system is somewhat confusing (albeit explained upon check in). Balcony locked/inaccessible. Admittedly, we didn’t call reception to have this unlocked as the weather was quite average whilst we were there. But the fact that it was locked was a bit frustrating. Windows were all locked, meaning no natural air circulation. As with all the serviced apartments we have stayed in, there are long term residents in the building as well. Fortunately for us, our neighbour was quiet and we didn’t hear a sound from their apartment. For convenience, I have included info regarding lift access below. Please be aware, that similar info is made available on check in. From the apartment If you wish to access reception (181 exhibition street) - Take the lift from your apartment to level 2, then switch lifts. Accessing the car park - take the lift to B1, switch lift to the respective level Accessing the food court - Take lift to B1, switch lift and go up to G Accessing Bourke street and little Bourke street exits - Take lift to B1, switch lift and go up to 1. Would definitely consider staying again on our next city staycation.

Location excellent. 2 bedroom unit: cleanliness required attention. 1/ kitchen cupboards needed cleaning, partially where the toaster sat 2/ couches revealed hair, crumbs and dirt between cushions when you sat on them. 3/ hairs in the bathroom shower. 4/ carpet requires replacing. 5/ major leaking windows 6/ food dropped on carpet in the hallway not cleaned up the while time we were there. CAR PARK : advertised as Free when booking car park for vehicle. . No mention of any fee applicable upon arrival BUT. To get vehicle out of underground allocated car park $35.00 per night. No pay, no car out. FALSE ADVERTISING. Rating: 2 out of 5.

Wouldn’t waste a cent on these apartments. My partner and I stayed for 4 nights last week and were incredibly disappointed and disgusted. When booking our apartment we specifically wrote, ticked a box and PAID EXTRA for a room with a balcony as we are smokers. When we arrived, not only did the useless and rude lady at the front desk shrug her shoulders at us and inform us the entire building was non smoking that was MIS-ADVERTISED but the balcony we were provided with AND PAID FOR was LOCKED the entire stay. The living and kitchen was a large size but as far as cleanliness I’d have to say otherwise. Was given 2 thin sheets and a trashy old thin blanket straight from Vinnies and no duvet. BUT NOT TO WORRY the air con that was placed ONLY in the living room and not in the bedroom didn’t work either and had a sign to not change the temperature??? The locations of the apartments is fine but even getting to your floor is a nightmare (takes at least 5 mins and 2 separate lifts and long walks) The gym facilities were poorly maintained as was the pool being in a putrid state. As we checked out and our car was waiting to take us to the airport the lady at the front desk made us wait for her to call someone to check our room before we left? Wasting more of our time and being inconsiderate to our driver who had to park in the city. AND FINALLY, They charged us for our bond, for which we had left the apartment in a perfect state. So we called up and apparently ‘THEY JUST FORGOT’ and ACCIDENTALLY CHARGED US. Overall: Location - Fine Staff - Useless Rooms - Trash Facilities - Trash WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Staff member who should have greeted us was very very rude, we should have left. Apartments are a little tired but found ours to be quite clean, nice and close to restaurants , theatre etc. We have stayed here on a number of occasions but it was ruined by the receptionist. Other receptionists were pleasant.
