Really well thought out menu utilising the best of land and sea! Ordered the lamb shank which fell off the bone and passed the test. Also got the Marinara which I’m not sure was worth $37 but the seafood was delightful

Dined in the fantastic private room on Saturday night, easily seating 14 of us.
The entrées and mains through to dessert were delicious!
My 1/2 a dozen oysters were as fresh as could be.
I wanted the ribeye for my main but my nephew scored the last remaining one.
I’m sure it was cooked as good as my scotch fillet.
The Clare Castle has seen some big changes but they are all great changes for this local iconic pub in Port Melbourne.

This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, scrumptious food, excellent service and some very good gluten free options.

Ambience & service good however food very average. Steak sandwich with egg & bacon very poor quality for $34.00. The bread was no good and the egg was burnt around the edges. The steak was the only saving grace. The cook needs encouragement to do better. The restaurant was not busy at the time.

Good local pub.
Front bar is fairly standard with mostly bar tables and a small TAB section, which may put off some.
Food was nice and reasonable (slightly on the expensive side).
Dining area is definitely kid friendly.
Staff were great.
Worth checking out if you live in the Port Melbourne area.

Great food! From the entree to the mains. Will definitely be back while in town. One place you should not miss! Prawn spring rolls, moretón bay bug slider, garlic king prawns are all awesome.
