Longsong

Awesome dining experience in the newly resurrected Longrain. It’s a huge open space with high ceilings, raised bar seating and tables all well spaced out. There’s even a fabulous cocktail bar upstairs serving unique drinks with SE Asian snacks. The service was superb from start to finish - there wasn’t a single moment where we were left wanting. The food was simply sensational- every single dish was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The famous egg-net was amazing! Overall a really excellent Saturday night out in the city with visiting interstate friends.

Great semi-fine dining restaurant that heavily influenced by South East Asian taste especially from Thailand. I would call it modern asian as the flavour profile is quite westernized. The meat dishes are cooked perfectly as it was soft while maintaining crispy crackling on the pork. The betel leaf entree is the star of the night for us as it was an explosion of flavour in our mouth. Food - 8 Service - 10 Vibe - 10 Price - $$$$

Gorgeous restaurant serving up modern Thai food in an urban industrial location. Excellent service and food, really nicely done and super impressive. Not cheap but hard to beat, especially the pork belly - every inch of it was cooked to perfection, so it was well worth ordering. Service was great too, just very friendly and capable

The restaurant was pretty much full on a wet & windy Wednesday evening so we were looking forward to a hot spicy meal. A nice buzzy feel yet intimate ambience due to the darkened lighting. Service was friendly & helpful. We had the banquet menu with the addition of their deep fried fish. Overall - all dshes were OK. They tasted authentic yet somehow the fire & spice of our expectations were a little below expectations. We had a satisfactory meal overall but no wow factor.

Longrain is my go-to restaurant when it comes to fancy Thai fusion food. Must try the pork belly, egg net salad and any entree with betel leaves. The curry is normally a bit too mild for my liking so really surprised when we ordered the hot and sour curry with rockling, as it was pretty hot and sour, really hit the spot! Also must tru the sticky tamarind pudding for dessert. It was amazing!

Great authentic Thai food. We really enjoyed every bite. Just moved from Bangkok to Melbourne this is a nice find to have a few flashbacks. It’s a bit westernized but hey many places in Bangkok do that too. Staff was amazing. Super friendly and always spott on. Every dish was carefully explained and all the dishes are available as veggie option too. Can’t wait to go back soon.
