I am a bit unsure why this place has got good reviews. I think their food is mediocre and so would probably give it a 2.5 Star. I ordered the beef, egg and potato noodle hot pot which is $16. Not that cheap. The beef doesn’t taste super fresh and it was a bit tough. I can’t even find the egg yolk but the mushrooms are good. Taste-wise it’s ok, nothing to write home about. The mini side dishes were oily and the kim chi isn’t that great.

I enjoy eating at Bigmama as the food is excellent! The portions are decent, ambience is comfortable even with the place always being decently packed. My only issue is that the poor staff get real confused when my 6'4 self walks in and orders extra rice as they don't seem to know what to do with me but their service is great regardless.

Amazing! And I hardly use that word. We were trying to find a parking spot so chose this place on a whim. We selected a diversity of traditional and modern dishes. Ingredients were fresh, delicious and all our fussy eaters cleaned their plates and bowls. Will definitely go again.

I came here to grab a quick dinner on a week night at about 8pm. It was noisy inside but not full. The food is excellent, I've never seen such a brilliant Japanese-Korean fusion before, however the waitress showed me to my table and completely forgot about me, I had to ask for a menu, and then later I had to ask for water while others got it instantly. I did not feel welcome here, but I'll come back anyway for the incredible food.

Expect a pleasant combination of the the things you like about Korean cuisine (the sizzling bulgogis, stone bibimbab, those little free side dishes, ...) and Japanese cuisine (that warm loud welcome, the servitude, the udons, the sobas, fried tofu, ...). The food has been consistently good, I taste each ingredient and all of it is affordable for daily visits.
