Fantastic on every account!!
Made a quick stop in at The Brass Coq, and could have stayed there for hours...The ambiance, the service and the food was that good!!!
Easily the best soft shell crab I've ever had (including anywhere in Vietnam)..it is a must! Served with Vietnamese beers, and happily assisted by their knowledgable staff, who are great to rely on should you need a recommendation from the menu!!

Went there last Sat night for works Christmas. Food was disgusting. Only 2 main meals on menu all other was out of stock. Only 1 dessert on menu and on ordering was told had run out. Our booking was 7.00 so it wasn't that we were late or anything. No cider. No coconut juice. even though it was listed on menu. Had to sit on wooden stools ( no backs) so hence had to put jackets on floor. Meat dish was swimming in oil. Will definitely not be going there again and will not recommend to anyone.

i just had to write a review for this place!. The Brass Coq is everything you're looking for - intimate atmosphere, amazing food, creative cocktails, really lovely wait staff. The green pawpaw salad is the best one I've ever had. This place definitely deserves more attention! I think it's the hidden gem of Asian eating in the CBD.
