Great pub - great food! I’ve been coming here since the mid 90s and I love how the place has retained its charm. The front bar is a great place for a beer, the dining room is cozy in winter and the beer gardens are COVID friendly. All the food I’ve had here over the years has been great, if you’re up for a classic (and generous) pub feed, try anything!

Kids friendly neighbourhood pub which serves pretty decent food. Really really friendly and chilled service even though it was sooooo busy. The eye fillet steak was beautifully done at a decent price and the kids absolutely smashed it. Hubby loved his bangers and mash and the lamb cutlets were beautifully cooked as well. The salad that came with the meats were slightly sad looking though, the tomatoes in the Greek salad side in the lamb dish was not fresh. I would hate to order the Greek salad on its own (which available) The margarita is also not great. Beautiful to look at but wayyyyyy too much salt on the rim meant a lot fell onto the drink as well. Despite of the slightly woeful salad and margarita I will definitely be back for the food.

An old favorite North Melbourne institution of a pub, with great beers wine and staff and a terrific intimate beer garden and lots of nooks and crannies and interesting stuff on the walls. If only those walls could talk! Counter meals are superb and hearty, as pub meals should be, a great option for lunch, dinner or supper ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This nachos with steak was some of the best nachos we've ever had, worth it just for that! Plenty of everything, no running out of guac or sour cream galf way through. Massive for sn entree thiugh, so bring a friend to share. The ambience is great old school pub and the rest of the food is generous and yummy too. Would come again.
