Celadon Thai Cafe

I have been ordering from Celadon Thai regularly over the past 6 months or so, and I can safely say this is the best Thai restaurant in the area. Tonight I had a slight issue with the portion size of one of the dishes I ordered, and when I raised it with the restaurant they were incredibly accomodating and helpful - I was given a replacement dish within 5 minutes. I highly recommend this restaurant to all, you won’t be disappointed!

Very bad experience. We ordered for the pad thai noodles with vegetables and emphasised that we were vegetarian to the person who was taking the order. To my surprise, the dish that we received had a meaty smell so I started searching if there was any meat and figured out that it had egg in it. So we called the person (who took the order) and told him that the order was vegetarian but it has egg and if he could please change the noodles and give us the vegetarian one. Consequently, he said, “ egg is vegetarian, without egg is vegan “. I thought in my mind, i will have to now open googe and show him the difference. Anyways, we asked him to change the dish if possible. He then went inside the kitchen and then came back saying that they always serve egg with vegetarian noodles☹️. After that he also emphasised that it has been clearly mentioned in the menu as well and then it was a catch because I read the menu very thoroughly before placing the order. And so I asked him to bring the menu and show me. As expected, it wasn’t mentioned in the menu and the person said, “oh, okay I will take this dish back”. In 5-7 mins he bought a new plate of noodles with much lesser quantity then before. However, we decided this time not to argue….. just eat and leave. I would never go back to this restaurant again…. Nonetheless, he was really sweet in asking if we would like a sprite or coke at the end, but we thought it will be billed to us so we declined
