Nice Cafe in Albert Park with pleasant environment. Sitting inside was chilly and felt that if they could provide outdoor heaters, for those seated outside, then with the front door open to the Cafe, perhaps some indoor heating in Winter, would have been appropriate. The Meal I chose was a Vegetarian Pad Thai. Slightly small serving, I feel that the amount could have been more generous for $22.00. Nice presentation & wonderful sauce which flavoured right through to the depth of the Noodles. I also wished the hot Soy Chai was not served in a small glass with no handle. Just way too hot to hold the glass, mugs would be a better idea. $13.70 for (2) Soy Chai’s- one was very small in size.

Dundas & Faussett was a cafe in Albert Park serving brunch meals. I ordered the Fried chicken bao burger and it was delicious; crispy fried chicken encased in soft fluffy bao buns and came with crispy waffle fries. The marinated lamb salad was delectable; tender lamb pieces served on a bed of fresh salad. Coffee was great. Ambiance could really improve however; it was dark, noisy, and stuffy inside and the venue felt a little run down. Service was pretty bad too as there were a lot of staff members but none were attentive. Probably the worst performer among its sister restaurants (Higher Ground, Top Paddock etc)

service 2🌟 food 5🌟 it is rare to have a chance to eat as healthy and nutritious as here in most of the other cafes The vege is poached I guess, even still put some oil to make it looks nicer before served but already much less oil and unhealthy dressing than other cafes If no oil in this dish at all will be more than perfect ! A good place to have a simple and satisfied meal alone~

Got full cream milk instead of soy milk on my coffee. Asked for replacement, wait staff gave me so much attitude. Ordered BLT of the lunch menu. Bacon was burnt to perfection🙄 sour dough was stale and my friend ordered the Grilled broccolini which has the same stale bread. Bit embarrassed tbh, used to love this cafe and was raving to her about this place. I reckon they change chefs

Contrary to other reviews we didn't find the service at Dundas & Faussett inattentive, even though our coffee took a long while to arrive. Service was friendly and attentive, however the dishes themselves left a little to be desired. I ordered the chilli scramble which came with two pieces of very lightly toasted toast, a little difficult to cut with my normal knife, I would have preferred a steak knife or perhaps I'm not skilled enough. The scramble itself while fine could have used a bit more of the promised chilli sambal and perhaps more than the single slice of chilli I found. My partner's grilled broccolini appeared to be steamed but had no sign of being grilled. The poached eggs were nearly hardboiled and unfortunately came with a piece of shell. The hummus in the description was replaced with a red capsicum (for lack of a better feel) mayo. However the coffee was quite good. Darling group has let me down before in the affair of their chilli scramble in one of their other restaurants so I'm left wondering what the gap is. However given it's a subjective interpretation I'll just say this is my experience. Would I go back, perhaps but there are other breakfast places to be tried in the pleasant locality Dundas & Faussett is located in.

Dundas is a great location, top coffee and food! Been here hundreds of times, highly recommend, especially in the warmer months for a brunch or late lunch. Kitchen is open late (very rare in most cafes) which is super convenient. Part of Darling Group which have half a dozen other spots around Melbourne, all of which are very nice (eaten at all of them many times).
