Lamb ribs and grilled barramundi are amazing~the chili sauce they put on the barramundi dish is so amazing too! Too spicy for me, but I can't get enough of it! The venue is nicely presented and service is super friendly 😁

Dropped by for lunch and I wasn’t disappointed. There is a large variety of food available for you to choose. Place is crowded during lunch but order taking and food was served very swiftly. Food quality is very authentic based on what I have had previously. Would definitely be back or bring friends here if I’m back in Melbourne.

The beef ribs with yellow rice is amazing. Highly recommended, the meats so tender with nice char flavoured, rice cooked perfectly and not over seasoned! Excellent dish. Can’t understand why they’re not that busy.

Casual dining with highlight of the location being yummy food. Ordered beef ribs to share and it was a delight. Meet falling off the bone along with spicy chilli 🌶 sauce. Can be bundled with rice to complete a meal.
Loved the food and minimalistic food menu.
Place serves halal food.

Nothing fancy, just delicious traditional Indonesian food that comes out quick and isn’t too expensive.
The menu is fairly large offering most of the classic Indo dishes.
Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

I was here a long time ago (like maybe 6 years ago) and apparently I liked their soto betawi. Came back there recently and I liked their ayam kremes and nasi kuning. Ayam goreng was well cooked and moist inside, and good amount of kremes. Batagor was ok. Es cendol was nice, but picture in menu was deceiving as pictures were all tall glass but you get like goblet glass, so not as big. Sate ayam has nice charcoal grill taste to it, but sauce isnt the best I have had, looked and tasted a bit dilute. I like their tofu salad, tofu was beautiful but it wasn’t really Indonesian dressing or salad, it’s like coleslaw salad with fried tofu so it’s fusion dish. Soto ayam has nice lemongrass flavour but rather too sweet which shouldn’t be. Overall it was an okay lunch, but it wasn’t cheap (we paid more than $30 per person).

Cannot recommend enough! The beef ribs are amazing. Full of flavour and the meat is so tender and juicy. Reasonably priced too!

Seems like Kedai Satay is the only one (as far as I know) which sells Tahu Gejrot (smashed tofu) that I have been missing soooo much! The sweet, savory & vinegary flavors really hit home for me 🇮🇩
Of course I can’t have just that, I needed to get some juicy fried chicken with yellow rice too AND eat it with hand! (I know I know so very Indo of me 😂)
Funny thing is we went there to try their satay but they actually ran out! So we plan to go back sometime soon or get deliveries so we can finally try their well-known satay 🍢
