La Petite Creperie

While the crepes and drinks were delicious, it was annoying that they got my order wrong (I ordered La Devine - which is a chocolate, strawberry and ice cream crepe - plus bananas, however they didn't add the strawberries). The couple next to us inquired what I had and the waitress told them what my order was, just after she set it on the table. So she knew that I was missing the strawberries, thus getting the order wrong, but then still charged me for the full meal. Disappointing service, but very good food.

The French are renowned for their culinary excellence and a visit here makes you want to go (or return) to France for a gastronomic experience. The savoury La Korrigan includes home made Béchamel sauce, Emmental cheese, spinach, mushrooms and optional extra tomatoes. From the first to the last mouthful, this harmonious combination was deliciously satisfying, rich but not overwhelming, smooth but with texture. The hot chocolate is made with melted chocolate, so much better than any of the mass produced powder stuff in other places. Cosy space with a small town feel coupled with friendly and attentive service, transport yourself to a little part of France, even if it's just for a little while.

Absolument excellente. I've been to Paris a few times before and this place reminds me of the small café's common to the area. The crêpe I had on my first visit and the croque monsieur on my second were just parfait. Definitely visit this place if you're in Melbourne and like crêpes! By the way the staff are very polite and speak French!
