Yeonga Korean Bbq

The food are exceptional! I liked going there because a staff is cooking the food for us. In my recent visit, we had to cook them for ourselves. I don't know much about Korean food so we rely the cooking on them. Getting a booking for the weekend dinner is very hard; it is always fully booked. It means this place is very special. I can tell it from my experience. The staff are friendly too and welcoming.

Great dinning experience. Staff are welcoming, very organized and attentive. We had LA ribs, Beef tartar, beef dice, seafood pancake and pork. Love all the dishes. Their pancakes are fluffy and flavorful, one of the best I had in Melbourne. Beef dice is impressive, not many Korean BBQ serves beef dice. Definitely returning to try their other dishes! Reservation is essential. A lot of walk ins customers were turn away.

Yeonga is one of my favourite kbbq restaurants if you can get a booking so make sure to call at least a few days in advance to make a booking to avoid the long wait (can be a 2 hour wait). There’s something special about sharing a meal with friends by cooking meat with friends and sharing it, everyone has their preferences. Some like it medium, some prefer we’ll done, some don’t pay attention and it burns. Don’t be that person. It’s always busy and the price is affordable. We ordered the set and other items. You now get handed a menu where you circle what you want which is efficient.

Came without a booking just as they opened and was given a table straight away, with a time limit of 1.5h which was plenty for a meal. The beef brisket was good, but the wagyu scotch fillet was even better. Super soft and juicy, I'd go back just for it. I also liked how they included corn cheese as one of the side dishes, since that's my must-order at every korean restaurant, and it was really good. Loved the seafood pancake as well. Staff was friendly and quite attentive, they were prompt in handling the cooking for us.

Yeonga is a Melbourne institution that has been running strong for several years. I've had mixed feelings over the years, but fortunately experiencing more pleasant visits recently. The service has improved dramatically — everyone is attentive and lovely. Between four adults, we ordered: - "A Yeonga Odyssey" set which had LA Galbi (ribs), pork belly x 2, wagyu chuck eye steak, and scallop x 4. It also came with a full size budae jjigae (army stew). - Seafood pancake - Yukke (Korean beef tartare) - Extra rice - Soju x 2 Meat was super fresh and marinade was fragrant when cooked on the charcoal grill. Upstairs was well ventilated. Highly recommend making a booking before you visit as it can get really busy.
